I think Huddy was going to throw a slider but Smith decided to not run the top late and Huddy turned it hard to try and stay off but had to much speed and hit a rut or bump. He could’ve locked em up but he would have just pushed in to him and wrecked him. Racing deal. No problem with the retaliation.

One of the things I miss about living in Fairbury is going to the races on the weekends.
Not surprised O'Neil didn't win. All but two of his national tour wins, Castrol, XR, Lucas Oil, WoO, he started on the front row. World 100? Front row.
how is that logical in any way with what happened here tonight? he had taken the lead from starting 7th. he got taken out by Smith and dropped back out of contention. what you are saying is that he cant get to the front if he starts further back, which is simply not the case here.
He won a WoO race from 23rd at Volusia earlier this year too, so no he can't drive to the front lol
@@the805outlaw 7 months ago, and how many times has he done that since? Zero. Pierce and RTJ have moved through traffic for more wins than the front row warrior and wrecked less cars doing it.

I totally get why garret smith did what he did, from his seat at the time I'm sure it looked intentional and stuff like that you want to deal with right then and there. Just a racing deal happens all the time.

Smith overreacted in my opinion. Hudson didn’t do anything wrong. These drivers get butt hurt too easily. These cars are expensive to keep up and actions like Smith are unnecessary.

I saw the 1 car go through the infield trying not to hit someone that pulled a late block. Smith ran every lap on the ridge and when O’Neal got inside of him, he dives to the bottom to block him. Nothing wrong with that, if you get there before the guy inside of you.

Those are put there to prevent drivers from doing what you said you thought you saw...btw

Those big white tires are well inside of the racing surface.
He went up on two wheels because he hit the inside berm trying to not get hit by the dive bomber.
This is why you sit in the stands and I’ve been wrenching on race cars longer than you’ve been alive.

Yes, way to go. He drove right over O'Neal after some accidental contact, and ended up finishing 19th as a result, while O'Neal runs 11th. He really taught O'Neal a lesson didn't he.

I can respect Smith for that, if you can't make the corner without flipping over, you can't make the corner, and no matter what the result was he just kinda doored him and they both kept going, the way I heard people describe you would have thought he drove backwards under yellow and destroyed the 1 car. Little harm little foul and they're even now.

I saw the #1 car dive to the bottom of turn 3, get on two wheels, and drive into the door of the #10 car.
Then I saw the #10 car do just about the same to the #1 coming off turn 2 without the on two wheels part...lol

Smith made every lap on the ridge until he realized O’Neal was going to pass him on the bottom.
O’Neal was on the bottom the entire time and when he saw Smith was going to block him, O’Neal jumped the berm and drove through the infield trying not to hit him.
Smith has the right to go low to block, but it should be before the other guy actually gets to his door.

You’re absolutely right he can run wherever he wants but if you’re going to make a sudden dive to the bottom after running the ridge for 15 laps, bad things can happen.
He went to the bottom to block him that’s fine, but he was late doing it that’s not fine.
Garret Smith needs to grow up he completely smashed O’Neal on purpose. When O’neal got up on two wheels Smith unexpectedly changed his lane. I would have loved to seen the pits after the race.
