July 14 is my birthday, can't wait to see what you post in july!
I just ordered a T-Shirt and a Press Evolution. Also got a GovX military discount.
And it added the crushed TP to my order. 🧻
Bunker Branding? The one owned by Matt Carriker a.k.a. Demolition Ranch?
I made an order and it said Im getting a coin. That will be cool. Thanks
Have you ever made ground chuck like this? I'd eat a hydraulic press hamburger.
The camera cutting to the face on the gel 😆 🤣 😂
I wish i could be like him.
I mean, he's constantly working under colossal amounts of pressure, and still is able to deliver.
Nice.
It's very imPRESSive what they do.
I wouldn't be so sure of that, they divorced after all 😂
I propose lengthy prison sentences for people making bad dad jokes. 😳
You don't even get a "ha"
You just get
h
The slo-mo googly eyes ballistic gel was majestic.
it looked happy lol
Listening to Hanna laugh makes the videos funny. Lauri love watching you do these awesome things with the press.
I think you might've violated the gel block a bit 👀
Bob likes it rough :D
Gel Bob No Pants doesn't wear pants for a good reason.
That's like foreplay for Bob.
@@HydraulicPressChannelI wanted to see Bob violated with that last candle jet
@@wich1i like the way you think
I bet the higher pressure and smaller nozzle will make the wax vapourise, it was already starting to smoke slightly in the last test.. if it does vapourise you can add a blowtorch towork as a pilot light and make a wax flamethrower.
Its similar to how a paraffin blowtorch heats the oil until it vapourises and shoots out as a gas under pressure
So you made a happy and surprised face on the gel block. And then tried pumping him full from the behind? I love this channel.
Luckily, the "laser" didn't cut another "Timo's Hole in the shop wall." 👌😂
Gelbob is the best Thing since scliced ballistic gel!
0:55 One simply can not address a ballistic gel block without giving it a good slap or two. 😂
...and a fitting name 😀👌
Great character development for the ballistic gel, was invested.
You finally cleaned the doors on the electric cabinets. Thank you!
I know! They were awful -Hanna
@@HydraulicPressChannel Hanna, they were world famous awful. 😂
Why is my brain telling me this is obscene? I have been on the internet far too long
guess how I feel after trying to come up with stuff like that for 7 years :D
Silly string made with synthetic flesh.. amazing.
She has the best laugh!
This is one of the most satisfying channels on my Subscription list.
No. We know who had the best laugh.
Put a non-Newtonian fluid in it.
Already been done
The fun thing about the initial trial run here... ballistic gel is meant to roughly simulate human tissue. And the 700 bar in the cylinder is lower than the ~1000 bar where ultra-deep submarines have gone.
The gel does not act like a fluid because it isn't one.
A gel is a colloid consisting of a liquid suspended in a solid:
"A gel is a semi-solid that can have properties ranging from soft and weak to hard and tough. Gels are defined as a substantially dilute cross-linked system, which exhibits no flow when in the steady-state, although the liquid phase may still diffuse through this system. A gel has been defined phenomenologically as a soft, solid or solid-like material consisting of two or more components, one of which is a liquid, present in substantial quantity.
By weight, gels are mostly liquid, yet they behave like solids because of a three-dimensional cross-linked network within the liquid. It is the crosslinking within the fluid that gives a gel its structure (hardness) and contributes to the adhesive stick (tack). In this way, gels are a dispersion of molecules of a liquid within a solid medium. The word gel was coined by 19th-century Scottish chemist Thomas Graham by clipping from gelatine."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gel
So it’s basically a fluid?
Was not expecting the gel face scenes, I laughed out loud!
Enjoying your videos as always Lauri😎
I wonder if marshmallows would work in the cylinder. Would they squish and extrude? Would they compress down at 100+ bar and then expand back after it comes out of the nozzle? Could you get a fluffy marshmallow beam? or would it stay close like the ballistic gel?
That thing looks like a laser beam. It’s far too dangerous to bother trying but if someone were to fire some molten aluminium or something through it, it would be crazy. Like it would turn into a solid almost instantly after it exited the cylinder. Just due to the very high surface area. I wonder what that would end up doing to a watermelon.
I wonder how something like gallium would behave, since it's a liquid at room temperature but it's still very much metal
Lead
Bunker Branding! Fantastic choice!
It has been so far really great to work with them and shirts feel like they are great quality so seems like we made a great choice!
@@HydraulicPressChannel I just ordered a T-Shirt and a Press Evolution. And it added the crushed TP to my order.
Great choice Don!!
You crack me up every time you say SHIT PAPER with your accent!🤣 I haven’t heard
“SHIT PAPER” since I was in the
US Navy over 50 years ago, still funny today !!!
So happy you joined bunker branding.
This video is all kinds of right mixed in with all kinds of wrong but im enjoying every min. GJ!
Hey HPC, I wonder, would it be possible to roll up the squeezed candle „wire“ onto a spool? Like you would do with a cotton thread or copper wire.
Yes, this is a very good idea not only with candle filament but other things. Measure speed of extruded filament and try to catch it on a spool spinning that fast. It's probably even better if the spool is farther away so extruded material has time to cool in air a little.
@@sealpiercing8476 yes, farther for it to cool, or closer for it to keep some heat to be able to bend without breaking. theres lots of different observations to make
I bet if he shot it into a tub of water it would totally be able to be rolled up into a spool
Hahaha, excellent work! I wonder how Gel-Bob would handle a candle laser at full pressure?
Cant believe you tried to shoot a load into the backend of that block of gell
Peter North would be jealous. Great work!
Oh yeah, baby, dropping LOADS
I hate it when "the hole is too small."
Crush nuts. Peanuts, pecans, almonds, etc. Beans would be cool too.
Nice to see the prostate problem resolved.
3:42 You can fit so much gel inside this Bob.
this reminds me of watching an hippo going to the bathroom, thanks for this, I really needed it
Now you're thinking... Use molten paraffin and add a flame source! Outside, of course...
This is giving me rocket engine ideas...aerosolized candle wax and liquid oxygen...
Amazing, that was like a laser beam.
that gel block was enjoying that way too much
Wow, that line actually has some lift instead of drop. That's sick.
TIL that ballistic gel is a lot better at absorbing projectiles than being projected. I guess it makes sense in hindsight. But it is so dense that it almost seems like it would have some real oomph. So wanting to test it also makes sense. Well, it's a good thing to know, I guess. I'll never be curious about it again, I suppose
You have a highspeed slowmotion camera right? may i know which model you have and where you bought it 😊? I can only find cameras for rent in Europe...
They use Chronos 2.1
Lol Lauri slapping the ballistic gel like a used car.
I love this channel, please always be you 😁
7:53 this is the last view of freedom when Spiderman's foes gets caught!
Fantastic video. 😘
I made an order! Thanks for the great vids
I want "stupidly fast." On a t shirt
Is it possible to interrupt the stream of wax to see if smaller segments of wax also travel straight and would hit the same point as the solid
beam? Perhaps a spinning plate with notches (establish beam then start spinning)? That the beam of wax stays so straight is curious. I suspect solidification and 'effective backpressure' are at play -- wax can't slow down because it's getting pushed by wax behind it. Totally cool, and I'm sure you'll come up with something for the gelatin. Take care, and enjoy your vacation. I hear Lapland has a pretty good coffee and gift shop.
This is awesome. At the 4:48, same expression as I get a colonoscopy. Keep up the great work. Guys, guys cheers from Canada 🍻
Yes, I cannot wait for the July!
that is nuts you can see the smoke rising off that stream
03:48 "А может не надо?"
"Надо, Федя! Надо!!!"
- На бутылку!
I love the wax jet the most and I noticed it was smoking a bit from the friction of the wax coming out of the opening of the cylinder
well that gell block looks like its having a good time
7:38 - it's like a visual, non-obscene representation of when you've been drinking too much and you finally got to the toilet :D
the candle laser was awesome
"Gel-Bob gets a colonoscopy"
the candle beam was very impressive.
7:33 when you wake up at 4 am to pee after you've been drinking the night before
Ah yes. The thing everyone dreads seeing come out of their 3D Printer Nozzle: Spaghetti.
Finally, the *Candle Nozzle.*
I love and think it's funny as hell when you call it shit paper 😂
The sheer joy in that laugh though.
80% ballistics gel, 20% finnish butter, temp at around 75C and then just go nuts!
In this video: hydraulic press channel rediscovers silly string.
Excellent! 👍🏻
Today we learn a new way to make Silly String!
Hi guys Richard Gatchell from New Zealand here. Firstly love you're channel so pleasekeep it up. So where the small hole is that the stuff comes out from could you put some type of band around it until it gets to its breaking point while you're pushing down the press so once the say metal band you can do up with a screw driver or socket gets to its point of breaking you could instantly have candle wax that could potentially cut the pice of timber at almost point blank range? Not necessarily a candle it could be water but on the press have the likes of a cars piston that water couldn't escape past like oil doesn't get past the rings unless.. the pressure in a cars engine isn't as much as you are pushing down with the press? Anyway just a suggestion.
Richard.
Shooting lines into the clear gels @$$. Lmao😅🤣😅😂😂😂😂
Who can say no to a pressed roll of toilet paper? That’s a must have!
You're probably not going to see this but if you do, I was thinking whether it would be possible to simulate underwater pressure on a submarine (inspired from what happened recently) using maybe an empty but sealed coke can or container inside of an acrilic tank containing water, the press would act as a piston in compression and raise the pressure and see how much pressure it would take to cause the container to explode. Safety first, you'll probably need an outer acrilic box or something to protect you and everything around from catastrophic explosion or risk of hydrolic injection.
"It's not going to wear like our own hole"
...
wait, what am I watching?
🤣
heya love the vids as always! :) have you considered incorperating a burst disc in here somewhere so you can get a bit of pressure up behind the gell or candle before it squirts out? or would the sudden release hurt the press? anyways look forward to next vid!
His press is capable of creating far more pressure than is shown here. If he maxed it out the cylinder itself would explode or shoot the nozzle out at super sonic speeds. That's why he said at the end he wants to try to build something that can take 100% of his press's power.
@@skeetsmcgrew3282 i was thinking more along the lines of the smashinator 5000000 that he made for the fast release of said energy :)
I love the way he says gel
Candle laser. Only you, Lauri. 😂
Glad you’re with Bunker Branding. Wish you could come up with some sort of collab with Matt Carriker.
I wonder what it would look like to spray fluorescent paint or dye out of this device at night with the shop lights off and only an ultraviolet lamp on. Might be able to make some cool art or clothes. Merch idea?
Another fantastic show thank you, I've got a suggestion that will challenge your skills to create the longest laminar jumping fountain and see how far you can get a Laminar jet of water to jump. You will have to turn and fabricate the nozzle and use a ram to provide the pressure behind it, either a continuous flow that will look like a clear glass arch or stop-start and have the fountain look like it's shooting hotdogs made of clear glass that are just water. If you want you could illuminate the jets of water, or you could just buy a Laminar nozzle with lights included and pump crazy high-pressure water through it. All the best from Scotland
Who wants to play with the blue spaghetti, party foam streamer?
Hello! I don't know if you still run the deep sea chamber, but my request would be to test PVC pipes, because they would be useful as submersible containers. I believe they should last about 5-6 atmospheres, which actually is 50 meters deep, not bad. Some PVC pipes have a specification for 6 atm anyway, but that is from the inside out, so I don't know if we could assume it will be the same from the outside inside. You would probably need to attach a screwing cap on both sides, which requires molding the pipe with a hot air gun so the cap receiver fits into the pipe. It's not difficult. Could you do this please, thanks.
Why not wax at the gel to see the damage that last few seconds looked like it would cut deep
This looks like it should be on a pimple popping channel.
You can probably make some interesting candy this way.
got fans in uk mate been watching long time
#Idea
Try crushing Tannerite to find out if slow and constant pressure will detonate it.
Spiderman after eating too many Smurfs.
I think you need to do the same thing with the slowmo camera at the end, and some glow in the dark candles.
Bro, you just made a real life web shooter like Spiderman!
I like the way he says gel lol
It's like the rubber bullets of lazers
Ballistic silly string is amazing. It's too bad about the gel not being extruded fast enough, but I wonder... If you could attach a heater to the outside of the extrusion cylinder, could it liquefy the contents to make extrusion easier?
Probably, but at the point why not just use jello?
I like the way you pronounce gel.
8:00 Now I know what a spider man villan feels like.
I need this setup for my 3d printer
The candle was most satisfying. It got all three shelves!
That candle stream looks like it burns.
You can get 1mm 3d printer nozzles.
I just got a subscriber from Finland 🇫🇮
Holy shit did it fly!
Should've put the ballistics gel in front of that at the last part - It would've been shredded or shoved down off the table!
I think it depends greatly on the relative densities of the projectile and target.
Yes, when pressure gets higher, the bonds between atoms play less of a role and the relative densities (atom or molecule weight) of the two materials start to play a bigger role. This principle is used when designing new projectiles at speeds of Mach-4+. But one can also push a blob of water through a steel plate if one makes the water go fast enough (as in 5 km/s).
