【INTRODUCTION】
In a world plagued by threatening creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in the
Japan Defense Force to defeat them.
“Let's wipe out the Kaiju together.”
Kafka pledged to his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Over time, life circumstances forced them to
go their separate ways and caused him to abandon his lifelong ambition.
He found himself employed by Monster Sweeper, Inc., a professional cleaning company that
specializes in cleaning up the aftermath of Kaiju battles. Meanwhile, Mina Ashiro is now the
Captain of the Defense Force’s 3rd Division. As it stands, he is currently unworthy of fighting
Kaiju alongside her.
At work, Kafka crosses paths with the highly motivated Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s undying
determination to join the Defense Force leaves no room for failure. His perseverance reawakens
Kafka’s ambition of standing next to Mina as they protect humanity from Kaiju together.
A dream frozen by time, thawed by a burning promise
But Kafka doesn’t know that an imminent Kaiju threat is unexpectedly approaching him.

@@RODFLOPyeah it’s unheard but not at all surprising. Anime/ manga is loved overseas just as much as it is in Japan in this day and age… I think that was their idea when they conjured this up

We are in an Era where mainstream artists are making Ending Songs for Anime
To be fair, mainstream Japanese artists have been making anime OPs and EDs for years.

@@brendonryu8820 Sure. But, I think you're missing the point I was trying to make. The original comment didn't specify between Japanese and non-Japanese artists, implying that the Japanese artists that have made anime OPs and EDs for years weren't mainstream. Which, at least in the Japanese market, is just not the case.
Actually, I'd argue american mainstream and Japanese mainstream are on different levels. American artists tend to be more globally recognized, and that's how I read the og comment. Nothing against tge Japanese artists at all either

I noticed the difference too, the lyrics are different and aren’t anywhere in the original one, I like both but still why is it different, usually the ED is just shorter then the original, unless it’s a YUI song
I love the way American bands like OneRepublic started to write anime endings for the first time it's a miracle for anime song indusrty

Different version by the look of it. Some lyrics were even changed for this one as well compared to the released version. Here's hoping they drop this variant at some point in time.
It was made to fit the one minute 30 seconds frame of opening and ending
this to me sounds like a demo version. Me and a friend have spectulated he sent this on a deadline and improved it for the final version that was released as a single
