That joint is BONKERS G!! The effort, the time, the planning......impeccable build. Wish I could hear some Wu-Tang, or some Alchemist production on that setup.
Basslife gotta love it! Three windshields fucked up and shattered sunroof assembly torn sheetmetal on roof of Durango minor electrical issues (air bag light turns on at full tilt resets when ignition is turned off and on.)still would not change it.
appreciate it glad you liked it there is more stuff in the works after Dec. once we park it after show circuit. It is gonna be louder well voice wise...
Wow man this is insane. I'm glad you have the full specs list in the description cause that's a ton of hardware. These subs are still the highest rated on the market with 2500rms continuous and 5000w peak. At least afaik. I can't imagine what this would sound like. I built my setup with a single 500w rms JBL series 3 12" and so I can't imagine a 2500rms 16". People complaining they wanted to see 16 of them in a single vehicle like wtf did you expect? This shit produces over 10,000 watts of continuous power just from the subs. Hell the Focal-Flax mids in the doors on this build almost have more continuous power than my fucking subwoofer hahaha. This is just epic. Hats off to you!
I see (and hear) a lot of SQ setups lacking some balls, or SPL setups lacking finish detail. You've done a great job covering both, wish I could hear it. Awesome setup!
Darknessofman thank you for taking the time to check it out. The thought out is an understatement, more like spending your waking and sleeping time figuring what to do next. Same goes for every build I undertake. I love what I do and I hope it shows... everything is done with basic tools a mig welder and grinder no cnc nothing no jigs just an able pair of hands.
There is no greater money pit than sound systems, for those who haven't tried to build a system- you have know idea how it leads you to spend more and more...but that aside, nice work! It's important for people to push boundaries...very important in fact!
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! TELL ME ABOUT IT ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE CANS OF EXPANDING FOAM AT FIVE BUCKS A POP IT ADDS UP, SHIT YOU DON'T EVEN SEE IT WHEN IT IS ALL SAID AND DONE. APPRECIATE THE COMPLIMENT AND YES NO REASON WHY AN SPL BUILD SHOULD LOOK ALL FRANKENSTEIN. THE GOAL WAS TO MAKE THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT LOOK LIKE IF THAT'S HOW IT CAME FROM THE DEALER. IT WAS NINE HUNDRED FORTY SOME DOLLARS PLUS TAX ON THE DAMN FOAM....
It's a shame the audio doesn't transfer well into these videos. I am sure it sounds amazing in person but sadly it sounds terrible in this video, much like every other subwoofer demo on youtube. Amazing installation, and my goodness the number of wires is crazy. I owned an Epicenter back in the early 90's and am feeling a bit nostalgic about it now. Thanks for posting
Epicenter gotta love it still pretty much the same piece from back in the day. when used correctly it is an amazing piece to put back information that is not there on certain recordings.
+Hhug100 indeed it does set up for SQ, when you turn off the wall and just use sub under the drivers seat its bliss staging is rock solid you would swear the bass is coming from the hood of the truck. for an extra kick you just need to turn on the wall and lower the gain to have a bottom end like no other. Rockford Fosgate really out did themselves with there new lineup across all there series. I am a basshead at heart who has learned to appreciate more than just that feeing of bowel pains and that horrible feeling of wanting to defecate, after bassing for twenty minutes plus. Nothing like fooling your brain into thinking the music is being played live in front of you...
I don't know why someone would talk shit about this other than being jealous i guess. The work is incredible the system is sick & I'd be lying if i said anything different. I like how you did sq & spl there's not many builds out like that. I have to give credit where credits due it's a beast. I'd be proud if i could do half the job you did it's clean and pounds at the same time,i love it. Congrats brother exellent work.
+mark demelo kind words indeed and greatly appreciated. I don't claim to be the loudest or the best, but do one hundred percent if not more with what I have to work with and material on hand. what ever you build or do give it your all and you wont be disappointed Mark. its hard to get the best of both worlds but in the end its more enjoyable even tho I do get flack from bass heads and tuning gurus alike, it boils down to what I like as it should be with all your ongoings in anything you pursue....
THANKS GLAD YOU LIKED IT. IT TAKES ALOT TO TONE SHIT DOWN SO AS NOT TO LOOK FLASHY OR OUT OF PLACE THE GOAL HERE WAS TO MAKE IT APPEAR STOCK. I KNOW FAR FETCHED THAT AN AUTOMAKER WOULD DESIGN SOMETHING WITH BALLS OUT LARGER THAN LIFE ROCKFORD FOSGATE AMPS AND SUBS AS STANDARD EQUIPMENT. WITH SOME LUCK IT WAS ACCOMPLISHED. DONE PLEXI DONE FIBERGLASS PAINTED TO MATCH JUST NOT THIS TIME AROUND NOT FOR ME... LOOKS SIMPLE BUT ITS STILL THE SAME AMOUNT OF WORK. (all work was done while whistling well in my head at least)
Hey man I've been in car audio for over 20 years now and I have to say to see a sweet ass build with all the details done with such precision from the amp rack to the rca connections to the battery tray and yes keep the factory unit and use the audio control hi low converter to 10 volt pre out actually is really clean.. I had 1 in my Chrysler Town & County then I made the mistake of replacing the factory deck with an alpine unit and I regret it ... but anyway awesome install piece of Art.
+Richard “Richman” Denis hence my catch phrase "Art of Noize" with a "Z" instead of an "S" for my last name. lol. I hear you all too well replacing stock radio was not an option tried to retain stock appearance even tho not to many factory setups come with 16 inch subs...but they should SPL instead of SRT Durango yeah I know wishfull thinking....lmao
LOVE WHAT I DO, THAT IS CREATE AND BUILD WITH MY HANDS FROM THIS INSTALL TO AIRBRUSHING LIKE MY AVATAR WHICH IS ON A MOTORCYCLE TANK TO A CHOPPER I BUILT AND GAVE TO MY BROTHER. DO IT RIGHT AND DO IT THE BEST THAT YOU CAN WITH WHAT IS AVAILABLE TO YOU...
Very nice setup, very diligent - I'd pay you personally to do mine but i have a simple setup > 1 run of 1/0 and 1 run of 4 gauge power cables, 2 kinetic hc1200s in the back running from xs34000 up front--pioneer 6.5s in doors, Kenwood 6x9 in deck. Amps-Skar audio RP 1500.1 on subs (3 kicker cvx's 12s) 2nd amp Kenwood excelon 900.5 for highs and mids.
+TheSamson50 yes Focal indeed. had my reservations about the Flax series by Focal but no issues now, astounding midrange, plus mid bass is fast tight and warm will not get muddy with lower vocals.
+TheSamson50 not sure about better, there is always room for improvement. Meticulous is probably more suitable of a word to describe me and my work habbits, mind you sometimes I wonder if I have OCD or not. lol
I love the subwoofer box guts. I have 2 Skar Audio ZVX 15s do you think that box would work with them? If so please please please send me the dimensions. The box I built doesn’t hit very many notes too well. But when it does hit the very few it’s good with OMG. But I’m looking for something still loud but just a wider range.
NOT UP TO SPEED WITH SKAR AUDIO, HAVE SEEN A COUPLE OF CARS IN THE LANES (USACi). THE BOX IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE T2s AND THE CABIN SPACE IN THE DURANGO. YOUR BEST BET IS TO GET WITH THE MANUFACTURER AND SEE WHAT THEY RECOMMEND FOR THEIR PRODUCT....
+Nel San fans were tied in to the rear a/c unit in the Durango assembly was cut into and a bilge pump fan was put in series then linked with a 2.5 in. hose to the third row overhead a/c duct assembly which was gutted to put the box. used flared ports glued to the openings to down size opening so I could place turbines to cover the holes this are the same ones rice burners place in there intakes to spool air for added horsepower. Bilge pump fan is hooked up to an SMD temp guage to speed up airflow as needed.
I have a drive in theater where I live and I was thinking about some SMD volt and amp gauges, I hear they are the most accurate. I'm not rich enough to get things right the second time so i ask a million questions before i buy something thanks for your opinion.
+Nel San it will be money well spent circuit boards are made by D'amore engineering rock solid products. vu meter is fantastic set it right and you will be able to keep tabs on your amps before they clip. have not installed volt meter yet going to redo the headliner and delete the sunroof tore the sheet metal on back part of sunroof opening. it was fucking awesome! and it sucked at the say time. once that happens pod will be made to replace where the controls for the sunroof used to go. You wont be disappointed with any meter you get from there line.
+Billy Ho trying to make the shows here in Texas limited to a six hour drive out of Laredo, rest assured if its around here we are there for sure with out fail we will have the Durango at Texas HeatWave in Austin if you get a chance will be there....
Hey did u cut the harness to get audio signals or is there an adaptor? also what's the color codes for the speakers? if u tapped in from the amp outputs.
My lights just started to flicker when I have the volume up. Alternator 130 amp. I have yellow top battery cca 650. P500x1 and P500x2 Rockford amps. 4-P1's. 4 gage amp wire. Any good solutions you can think will solve my situation?
EACH ONE OF YOUR AMPS HAS AN 80 AMP DRAW TOTALING 160 AMPS MAX CURRENT DRAW. GIVEN YOUR ALTERNATORS 130 AMP OUTPUT LIGHT FLICKERING IS TO BE EXPECTED. 4 AWG. PER AMP IS ADEQUATE IF YOU ARE RUNNING ONE FOR BOTH YOU ARE STARVING CURRENT DRAW TO YOUR RF AMPS. 1/O AWG. IF YOU ARE DOING ONE RUN MINIMUM. TRY DOING THE BIG THREE, MOST VEHICLES HAVE 6AWG. AT BEST. WHILE THIS MIGHT NOT REMEDY YOUR DILEMMA IT SHOULD HELP IT SOMEWHAT. ON THE UP SIDE YOUR AMPS WILL LOVE IT FOR SURE...
Seems like it not that bad when you do the install yourself plus this endeavor took over eight months to complete. I would like to express gratitude to my boss and friend Vijay for fueling my vice...seriously this build would not exist without his arbitration.
+Luis Zamora Not just the equipment but, the truck too. You usually don't see such new vehicles with stereos of that magnitude in them unless it's built by the equipment manufacturer.
l bought the truck for my wife originally, we had a falling out got stuck with the Durango and the truck payment so after two decades plus of doing work for everyone else it was long over due. so there you go made this for myself
Luis Zamora best thing ever you clda did w that truck after what happnd .and yes doin this stuff keeps us sane.whn i work on my truck it keeps me goin and you get to b creative.
Yes sir did that to keep my sanity lol!!! Truck is a daily driver very tempting to blast it from point a to point b. Not everyone likes or appreciates there shit rattling.
actually makes all the sense in the world. I do have an electronic crossover as a matter of fact the Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3 splitting everything up nicely with infinite adjustment. I have different cut offs for the pillar mount mids to compensate for window diffraction and placement as it relates to the driver position. the passive crossover is there as a safeguard for the mids an the tweeters plus Focal took there time to specifically design it for there speakers not to mention impedance compensation network for each tweeter, mid and mid bass driver. I hope this sheds some light as far as to why I used the passive crossovers. As far as the two decades plus l have been doing this it makes perfect sense.
+Luis Zamora but passive crossovers waste power. even with the most expensive parts. trust me I spent over 5 grand on the crossovers on my home towers and there is a measurable loss in power. the protection circuit don't work In most cases besides if you use the 3sixty.3 setup your probably never going to blow a speaker in the first place. I don't nearly have the setup you do but I over power everything 2500.1 bd to 4 P310 and a 1000.4 ad to two pair of t2 components 300.2br running 2 power 4" with a 3sixty.3 for 5 years and no blown speakers daily driven always max volume.
Definitely over power is the way to go. As time permits I will break down and test, might even replace. Power loss is not a factor with me, I will admit cross overs may be better built though. When changes arise you will see them and hopefully you will approve. You are not the first to point that out...the day its an all RF build it will done without passive crossovers got my on on the T4's will see or better stated "will hear"
+Zedrik Juarbe lmao yeah I would be thrilled to double the power but then that would just make it a burp machine. The way its set up its full tilt doing 155.1 dbs on music cruising roughly twentyfive minutes or so nonstop till I deplete batteries forcing me to lower the volume. Its set up for SQ as well as SPL. The box is not a one note wonder it will play anything and with a vengeance! the dumbest songs will freak the shit out of you. Was not made to blast one note for five seconds mind you it will hold its own with no problem. In the end of it all I love to listen to music and very loud might I add.
Sorry about that should have read T2S1-16s, still now a days you are hard pressed to see installs with that many subs. Those were back in the day when sealed boxes reined supreme.
ruclips.net/video/G6dWxIR_HKY/видео.html This is the original. I tried finding the one I have but can seem to find it. But you have to look for it. The remix.
+John Work its never loud enough! Mind you it does hold its own keep in mind it is not a balls out SPL vehicle nevertheless its on its third windshield, sunroof assembly has been obliterated into pieces glass is still holding on, and the "coupe de grace" torn sheet metal on the roof of the truck...will be rectifying issues to avoid further expense on truck and focus on the build.
+Sigma Octantis ITS A CULLMINATION OF TWENTY-FIVE YEARS BUILDING SUB BOXES. I DID ALL MY OWN LABOR AS FAR AS WIRING, SOUND DEADENING, RESTRUCTURING OF INTERIOR PANNELS, VYNIL WORK, WELDING, METAL FABRICATING, AND OF COURSE WOOD WORKING FOR THE SUB BOX. GOT TIRED OF BEING THE MECHANIC WITHOUT A CAR, THE CARPENTER WITHOUT A HOUSE HERE I WAS "NINJA BOX BUILDER WITH STOCK SETUP IN HIS CAR" THIS INSTALL WAS DONE TO DO BOTH SPL AND SQ WILL PLAY MUSIC AND BURP. WHEN YOU FACTOR BOTH THINGS ITS ACTUALLY NOT A BAD DEAL.
+joseph chop might be a POS but at least it has a hemi lol! It used to haul ass now it has to haul ass all twentytwo hundred plus pounds over truck weight. Hemi does not even sweat the weight R/T tranny gotta love it.
IF IT WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A NAVIGATOR, SOMEBODY ELSE WOULD HAVE SAID POS, IF ITS WOULD HAVE BEEN ON AN EXPEDITION SOME ONE ELSE WOULD HAVE SAID POS, SAME TO AN ESCALADE MERCDES BMW ETC....... MY POINT IS, ITS NOT THE VEHICLE HE IS SHOWING, ITS THE ROCKFORD FOSGATE SYSTEM THAT HE IS DEMONSTRATING.
+Zedrik Juarbe your right these new subs from Rockford Fosgate will handle brutal amounts of power given the right enclosure plus frequency matching for whatever vehicle there are finding a home in. Add to this correct signal matching distortion free signal like the one out of the T2500s RF amps and yeah feel free to burp the fecal matter out of your rectum lol! Seriously this build was done with the soul purpose of enjoying music not burps, mind you it will burp with a vengeance, it will do 155 dBs non stop for twenty plus minutes after which one of two things happens around that time frame, batteries get depleted or that pencil stabbing feeling in the ear really starts to hurt. I am pushing the limit of what these monsters can handle as far as long play not burps and I have not been disappointed yet.
That joint is BONKERS G!! The effort, the time, the planning......impeccable build. Wish I could hear some Wu-Tang, or some Alchemist production on that setup.
DAMN. is all I can say. pure art work .BASSHEADS FOR LIFE.

Truth Conspiracy it made my fruits spill a bit of liquid. But the happy liquid. Lol
I see (and hear) a lot of SQ setups lacking some balls, or SPL setups lacking finish detail. You've done a great job covering both, wish I could hear it. Awesome setup!
cleanest build I seen. And you got the new t2s oh my gawd game over

indeed a/c issues one time I can concur with the hell comment being from south Texas heat is one "hell" of an issue...
that is a nice, very clean not over done system, nice work!

Luis Zamora great work youndo bro...yea inhav 12/15 cramed on a RANGEROVER..IN A 4RTH ORDER
5:16 JL sub under the seat. JL FTW!!
Lol. Both brothers use to run nothing but jl. Don't have any bad things to say bout them. They some good subs.
+thejudge107 I like the sound of JL subs, their subs are pricey.
+ThisIsSolution yes, they are pricey. But pound good.
that right there is stupid clean!
Absolutely beautiful
Thank you!
I have a 2015 rt and this made me drool. Lol
Damn thats nice work
THANKS EVEN THOUGH ITS NEVER REALLY COMPLETE LIKE THE ART OF NOIZE THAT IT IS...FIXING TEAR ON ROOF SHEET METAL MORE MODS IN THE WORKS
Very nice setup, very diligent - I'd pay you personally to do mine but i have a simple setup > 1 run of 1/0 and 1 run of 4 gauge power cables, 2 kinetic hc1200s in the back running from xs34000 up front--pioneer 6.5s in doors, Kenwood 6x9 in deck. simple is always better...not sure what you are using the fifth sub channel on the Excelon for?
Awesome work!
HaHa! yes after this undertaking I was in a state of Awe... glad you can appreciate what went in to it...
I totally do because i run my own business of car audio repairs, installations and mods.
just go slow on the camera ..this is a work of art totaly amazing build
Thank you! My dad and I put a lot of work into this including support from others to make this beauty happen.
+Samuel Mugo thank you for the kind words fits my motto "Art of Noize"
wow nice setup
+Mighty Mike Midget Murga glad you liked it, as do we.
Amazing!!
+Mighty Mike Midget Murga if you have the time will have the truck playing at Texas Heatwave in Austin this upcoming July.
AAUUH FOCAL. YES.
+TheSamson50 yes Focal indeed. had my reservations about the Flax series by Focal but no issues now, astounding midrange, plus mid bass is fast tight and warm will not get muddy with lower vocals.
thats awesome! those Flax focal subs, beautiful build quality, very very highly respectable in my books :)
+TheSamson50 Thank you for your praise on the build helps being border line OCD. LOL!
+Luis Zamora oh dude, but being ocd when doing a complex build like this is what you need. the more professional it looks, the better, right.
+TheSamson50 not sure about better, there is always room for improvement. Meticulous is probably more suitable of a word to describe me and my work habbits, mind you sometimes I wonder if I have OCD or not. lol
the second song is my jam
Thanks!!

Wonderful build, I'm curious about the fans do they blow through the rack in the amps? or do they cool the magnets?
+Nel San Amps
orale cool

"HEATWAVE 2016 JULY 22nd!" Hope to see some of you there...
This thing gets down I heard it at heatwave a few years ago
OMG this is freaking porn. I love the wall. Thank you for sharing this.
Beautiful install! Love the look of the amp rack. You guys ever venture out to Slamology? If so, I would love to see this beast in person.
HARNESS WAS CUT WITH ENOUGH SLACK TO WIRE STRAIGHT INTO LC-7i AND LC-8i AUDIO CONTROL PIECES. AS FOR WIRING INFO YOU MAY FIND IT ON 12VOLTS.COM
Thanks
O did u have to put a resister between the factory amp and the audio controls inputs? So the factory amp can give a output. Or its not needed.
+Ralph Paray not needed keep in mind my Durango is a 2014 some newer vehicles need a resistance load or factory amp shuts off.
Perfect so am all set to take a cracked at it this summer. I have a 2016 Rango rt. The beats audio is weak.
How much does a setup like this cost for product and install. Just wanting to do a setup in my car but maybe only 8k
Why are the subs not excurting?
My lights just started to flicker when I have the volume up. Alternator 130 amp. I have yellow top battery cca 650. P500x1 and P500x2 Rockford amps. 4-P1's. 4 gage amp wire. Any good solutions you can think will solve my situation?

Get a 200amp alternator and run some 1/0 wire and you should be straight. Or get another battery and the alternator.
who ever video tapped this didnt do a good job of footage on the car or people who did the work.. but love it though..
nice!
+CHRIS i sugar and spice in this case the whole fucking pantry of cinnamon shit and what not! lol
Cubic Money.
luis zamora ... are you ninja from laredo ?!? if so i need a custom box for my woofers
Deep pockets!

what's the name of the music
on your 9512's i have a 9515 jus like your 12's same basket and motor alot of people say its f series but it looks jus like yours so is it a g series
G series that DD made happened to be the best series made. That's what techs from DD said. Everyone always think I have 15's. Lol
Luis Zamora is a very Sexy man. Lol. All his knowledge is in the beard. 😂
Shhhhh its suppose to be a secret....
the el chapo capture music 3:00
did u put a speaker under the seat
Yes sir did that to keep my sanity lol!!! Truck is a daily driver very tempting to blast it from point a to point b. Not everyone likes or appreciates there shit rattling.
all that equipment and lobor... why would you use passive xover instead of active. makes no sense
actually makes all the sense in the world.
+Luis Zamora either way... nice clean install all round. good work
What is the name of the song at the beginning of the video??

I love fosgate since the early 90's I saw the title and was hum? Say the title real fast 5 times
Oh my God these are so underpowered. I would put 13.6 kilowatts on 2 of these. waste. smh
Title was misleading. I was expecting 16 subs not FOUR 16 INCH subs
Lol. Never seen it that way till you said something
That's how I read it too.
Sorry about that should have read T2S1-16s, still now a days you are hard pressed to see installs with that many subs. Those were back in the day when sealed boxes reined supreme.
+RWL2012 Just gotta read.
It wasn't misleading to me but that's just me

+John Work its never loud enough! Mind you it does hold its own keep in mind it is not a balls out SPL vehicle nevertheless its on its third windshield, sunroof assembly has been obliterated into pieces glass is still holding on, and the "coupe de grace" torn sheet metal on the roof of the truck...will be rectifying issues to avoid further expense on truck and focus on the build.
Looks like an expensive install for only 13.6Kw
WHEN YOU FACTOR BOTH THINGS ITS ACTUALLY NOT A BAD DEAL.
okay
+Sigma Octantis love how you people say "only".
You're like the people that say a car "only" has 700hp.
Nearly 14,000 watts is still insane kiddo.
0:26 door is scared
In a POS dodge
+joseph chop lol. it's still pounding
MY POINT IS, ITS NOT THE VEHICLE HE IS SHOWING, ITS THE ROCKFORD FOSGATE SYSTEM THAT HE IS DEMONSTRATING.
mamajuana343 very true l did not build the vehicle built or modifed everything interior minus dash and seats to house sound system.
As a Dodge owner myself I haul ass and no problems whatsoever except pounding my system too long and running my battery dead...LOL
155db
METERS 157.1 dBs, COMPETE IN USACi OUTLAW SPL, MIND YOU IT DOES THIS FROM C-PILLAR WALL NOT THE B-PILLAR.
it's very loud😑
157.1dBs through sanctioned USACi.
No flex
v nice
SUGAR AND SPICE! YUPPERS DO NOT GET ME STARTED... GLAD YOU LIKED IT THOUGH AS DO I
Oh my God these are so underpowered. I would put 13.6 kilowatts on 2 of these. waste. smh
