Med/high settings I can get 144fps capped via Riva tuner w/ gsync. With this title it equals even frame-pacing without the blips in variable framerate. I get it, personal preference but 200 fps is unneeded for regular gameplay.

Cores dont matter that much on fortnite, its only os performance mode that takes advantage of the speed of those cores, both amd and intel can be good, its just that fortnite does not like amd gpus so you would be better off using the cheaper ryzen cpu and a nvidia gpu for best fps

Not really, if you wanna go from 12 gen to 13 I recommend saving for an i5-13600K as it is way more powerful and you will get way better fps, also pair it with a 4070 for best performance.
