thank you so much! I've watched 3 of these and could not get it to work and no one mentioned to be sure the path was active. I was specifically clicking on the vector because I thought I needed to.
Silly question once I get the text curved how can I move it so that it is centered? It is off to the right, I'm wondering is maybe my ellipse not centered? Not sure how to fix it. TIA

Do you mean having text that does not actually lean based on the curve but stay completely straight? If so, I would not have a clue if it is possible, other than separating the letters and placing them one by one along the curve.

Are you making sure that the vector object (the "layer" inside the vector layer) is active at the same time as the text object (the "layer" inside the text layer)? If one of the two is not active, the option will be greyed out.
@@CreationCassel yes. both were active. Looking at another video that shows converting object to path which works but now my bottom text is following path but upside down.

@@jlaf8000 I think the best way to do that would be with the Mesh Warp. It is not a super quick way but it is not too hard either.

doesn't work for me. :-( Fit text to path is always grayed out for me.

@@coina-dig-tion6322 You have to duplicate your vector shape and then reverse the path. Check the video starting around 5:20.
@@CreationCassel thanks. I finally tried that and then plan to merge the vector shapes. Now the fill property is hiding from me. thx for your help.
