    I don't usually like software robot voices but this content was actually rather excellent.

      Thank you very much, I'm really glad you found it useful!
      PS. English is not my first language, and my accent is terrible (even non-comprehensible I'm afraid).

    This is some crazy stuff but you did a good job explaining it. That was a huge thorn straight up my ass getting the path reversed but you got me there, thanks digi voice lady.

      Thank you very much, I'm really glad the video helped. The truth is this whole process is confusing and tedious, I wish we had a better way of doing it, but I guess it is what it is, and we need to deal with what we have.

    Learned again a thing or too. I appreciate your clear voice and pointing out what you do and where you click on. This makes it easy to follow along. Looking forward to part 4. Could you make a video about prepping your work for digital or offset printing concerning cmyk colors, taking care about text contours and which file-types to use.

      Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately I'm not really qualified to make a professional printing tutorial, because I don't have experience in that area.

    How can you arc a word while keeping the top part of the word be straight

    • @hec-hotelegantclothing290
      @hec-hotelegantclothing290 3 месяца назад

      By creating a path, hiding its fill, and then Fitting the word on the path's stroke

    how do you get rid of the shape once you have your curved text on the bottom? I must've missed that part.

    • @hecfashion3260
      @hecfashion3260  2 года назад

      Hi Mariposa, you click the eye-icon in front of the shape, in the Layers Palette (on the right side of the screen). This will hide the shape. To show back the shape, you click its eye-icon again.

    Something went wrong. I couldn't get the bottom text to path. It just wasn't highlighted. :(

      I had that problem to nothing was able to be selected for the bottom text

    • @hecfashion3260
      @hecfashion3260  4 года назад +1

      Hi @@AruffSiberians , If you're referring to attaching text to the bottom of the circle shape and have it running counter clockwise, sometimes the currently active tool and the order we do things matters. Try starting with the text NOT being attached to the shape. If it is, select them both in the layers palette using the Pick tool (or the Text tool) then right-click on any of them and select "Detach Object From Path". Now, to reverse the path of the circle you have to switch to the Pen tool and select JUST the circle in the layer palette. Then reverse its path via: Objects -> Edit -> Reverse path AND make sure you commit the reversal by hitting the Apply button on the options toolbar, at the top left of the screen. Next, switch back to the Pick tool (or the Text tool), select again both the circle and the text in the layers palette, right-click on any of them and choose "Fit Text to Path". This should do the job.

    The voice was too robotic and almost hurt my ears .. the music was too loud over it. I can't get past the voice to follow along :(

    • @hec-hotelegantclothing290
      @hec-hotelegantclothing290 8 месяцев назад

      I'm sorry about that, the music is indeed too loud on certain rigs, I apologize for that. Trust me, the robotic voice is way more comprehensible than my terrible accent (I'm not a native English speaker), but maybe muting the sound and enabling the auto subtitles works a little better for you?

    This video is surprisingly annoying and i did not learn any thing from it.
    If i create an ellipse on a work then that ellipse paints over the work,
    and no, text does not magically snap to follow the curve of it.
    This did not help me AT ALL.

    • @hec-hotelegantclothing290
      @hec-hotelegantclothing290 3 месяца назад

      Did you make sure the "Create as Vector" option is checked, as specifically shown at 1.20 of the video? And no, the text does NOT magically snap on the shape, you need to click on the shape's perimeter first.

      LMAO! It has its pros and cons, curving text is not exactly one of its strong points.
