@@blazingstriker7445 Yes I am, it's still perfectly fine. Laptop's still pretty fast and it can handle lots of tabs open and like two Google meets at once.
I had an Acer aspire 3 and within a day of getting it it froze 5 time and Crashed once, I returned it and got the Lenovo ideapad 3i instead and I love it, never crashed or froze once even on zoom meetings etc, it also had a "Backlight" feature that you can turn on and off by pressing holding the FN key then pressing the Space bar to turn itt on and off, I love it so far!
Bought this Ideapad 3 with AMD Ryzen 5 3500 8 GB Ram and 256 GB storage on Cyber Monday. So far, so good. Performance is good, I can keep 10 tabs open with no problem and with little lag. The speakers are good, pleasantly surprised. As said the TN screen is inferior to other brands in this price range and the webcam is subpar too. The webcam in my tablet is far superior to this. The keyboard is excellent and very quiet, I was impressed. Overall, it is good for the price and it should be fine for most people. It is not for heavy gaming. Pretty good budget laptop.
Hi Will, I am planning to buy this with i3 processor. My main concern is I used to work on chrome with 100s of tabs open at a time. So what you suggest will it manage it? Thanks in advance :)
I am using an Ideapad 3, and I have had it for over a year, and I have a few thing to say. The CPU doesn't like being on a flat surface, it will get really hot if you leave it like that. The hinge is actually made quite well, and I have also opened it up and there is nothing wearing down on the hinge. The colors don't feel washed out, you just need to change some settings. The keyboard can get actually quite annoying for other people. I have used this outside and it looked perfectly fine. Also, I had a few applications open, and the CPU is always in turbo because the base clock speed is too low to run average things. Also, another thing, It actually works well for things that aren't like day to day tasks. I feel that people who review things shouldn't get the laptop and judge it straight out of the box, but that they should use it for a bit, maybe like a week. So then they can actually know more about the laptop
Very good review, thank you very much. I think this is a good laptop for the price and other than the cheapness of the hinge it checks out most of the important things like a good trackpad, a good keyboard and OK thermals.

I got one of these bad boys for Christmas this year, and I’d say it’s pretty decent for what I’m doing with it, even though it’s not the most powerful machine. The trackpad is decent, even though I use a USB mouse, and I’m a fan of the looks, although the keyboard ain’t what I’m used to, since the backspace button is a bit too far to the right for my muscle memory.

I've been using my IdeaPad 3 for about over a year. Everything this guy said, it's true. This is just a student laptop, very low-mid tier, budget friendly - everything you need at the bare minimum. During the height of the pandemic, using this webcam was pretty bad, I had to buy an external webcam which I don't completely mind since most of 2020 was on the computer screen. I can also vouch for this display, it's not true to color and not bright enough if you're outside or even in a bright coffee shop. 6:14 - the single plastic piece is just the hinge cover and under it are two metal hinges like in other laptops. The hinge cover being one or two piece is mostly just a cosmetic difference, although it is true that the hinges tend to be closer together in one piece designs, which may create more torque on the hinge if opening the lid from one side.

I didn’t run out of RAM, Hard Drive (swapped in a $30 ssd), etc. Buy a laptop you can upgrade, with a decent screen (or have a separate monitor) just search processors to understand if it will behave any better. Processor is about all you can’t change for any laptop.

Will you recommend for a graphic designer? If no do you have any type on a low budget you can recommend?
I see what your saying but I see this for 300 to 350 thats pretty good value ! with all the gpu shortages and high end laptops this seems like a good deal
*you're
Well there is one thing i hate about this laptop, when it updates, at times it will stay on a gray screen and thats what happened to me with one of the ideapads , so be careful with this laptop oh and it can lag when it gets to 20 or 10 percent , so continuing with the gray screen it was making the laptop crash so many times so when i tried to do a factory reset it just didnt work.
Hey bro i have a question how well would this laptop run games because i looking for a good gaming laptop and im on a budget so it would really help if u could tell me
1:46 I thought you spilled water on the box 😂
Yikes!
good info
I like this laptop except for the fact I need a separate driver for the trackpad, and I can't even run linux on it (with trackpad support) as linux doesn't have the driver
Hey there! I am moving to another country soon and the USA type Lenovo Idea pad 3 charger is not compatible there. I need what type of charger the IdeaPad 3 uses, so I can look up one that can be used in that country. If you do know, please tell me. Thank you!
Thanks sir. It was useful for me. Sir i have decided to buy a Lenovo Ideapad 3 14IIL05 14" FHD IPS Core I5 MX330 Laptop for university study purpose.
Please let me know Is it good for gaming and editing??
Thanks for watching. The laptop is not designed for gaming but you can play most games on ultra low settings with a somewhat reasonable frame rate.
Hey man is there a laptop you could recommend me for the same price or cheaper that has approximately same specs and just overall better screen. I need something for school and gaming too. This one would've been my go to if it wasnt for the screen
Did you find one?
I think the idea pad 3 is good for you because the screen is not that bad
and you can plug it to a monitor for gaming
hi, so I bought this computer a couple of months ago and I don't know if is only my computer or this is normal but it literary takes 5 minutes to turn on, does anyone else has this problem?

Thats a good question, not sure tbh. Though given their is no dedicated dock port or USB-C you may have to validate compatibility with the dock you buy.
499.99 on Saturday at Costco.

I got this laptop for 10€. It's an amazing deal for what you're getting, I have the same laptop in silver colour but the display is IPS and it has an Athlon 3050u. It's a decent laptop that does get the job done and I never regretted it.

This computer in most places is under Or close to $400. Even less if you buy a open box. Mine with The touch screen was around $350. Think it is a really good laptop for that price.
Where did you get this price from.
I'm from Bulgaria here cheapest I can find in open box is around 600€
in canda it's 550 right now
Hi. Between an hp 15 dy2702dx 2021 and the ideapad 3 2020 , which is a better choice?
Hey ik this video is like 9 months old. I needed a new laptop that runs well as in record and play at the same. As of right now i have a Dell laptop that is touchscreen i got around February this year. Question is that will it be able to record and play? I just want another one that can actually do a job of school work, and record and play at the same time.
got mine a few days ago, and i think it's really okay for online classes such as typings and researching. but the camera is a bit terrible. i use this for chrome, classes, and watching movies. i edit pictures too. i really hope that i can still use this in college. I'm a freshman in senior high school btw.
same i was also worried that this would only last a year. btw how's the experience
@@ariamiya6282 it's been our summer break so i haven't use it lately since i have other gadgets to use. for the experience, i think i don't have any problem while using it for the past 10 months. Is this a good laptop to use for work from home ? I have an Hp windows 10 and I wanted to upgrade
As long as you are not using it for graphical design or gaming it will do great.
Hi, I just bought the same unit for my work last September but last January keyboard is not working anymore until now my unit is not yet fixed. Dont know when it will be okay! Its just so disappointing that I can't do my work and schooling. I'm not sure if this is just a coincidence or it's a poor quality control or their product.
performance: yes, quality: if you can deal with it, it is ok
Thank you for the review.

im looking to get the same one, it meets my processor requirements and is within my budget. However, if im gonna invest this kinda money at this time im gonna need it to last me atleast 4 years, will it be able to do that?
Does it over heat?
I don’t think so it does have fans so I guess not
I’m thinking of getting a laptop for gaming and this one so far fits my budget the best. Is this a good laptop for games like Minecraft rocket league and modern warfare 2?
Im not like an electronic experts or something like that but im pretty sure that this computer won’t be able to run cod or modernwarfare. Its a very demanding game, even my xbox has some problems with it sometimes.

I just purchased one and I already have an issue. Everytime I press the "B" key, it automatically adds a space. This is frustrating, it's brand new. Any suggestions?
That really is unfortunate, I would urge you to get an exchange if possible.
@Kingdom Cre8tive As someone who didn’t know, in some regions unfortunately it can be very difficult to request an exchange or even outright not possible. Many items are sold as final sale in some countries. Although that may not be the case here it is certainly a possibility.
i havent experienced this in my computer
my is new and already running slow
I've just bought mine about a month ago. Considering it's a budget laptop, the built quality is decent n the design is quite pleasing n professional-looking. And yes, the woobly screen is annoying at first, but you'll just learn to gentle n delegate with it, and i have gotten to used to it by now. If u handle it with care, it won't break easily. Mine is still perfectly fine n there aren't any sign of breakage or stress
is it still going well?
@@GravitonXShorts Well it has been a few months n it still run smoothly n the hardware is still perfectly fine. But that's because as I mentioned, the screen connection isn't that strong so u should handle it with care if u want it to last.

Thank you for explaining everything so clearly. I really wanted to buy this laptop but I never understood what a Chromebook is. I can't believe you can't have Google Chrome. But you said you can opt out S Mode and install it ? How do you do that ? Is it easy ?

-The fans can be really loud if playing a game like Roblox, etc.
-The colours isn't washed out but you could adjust it in Intel Graphics Command Centre
-For me personally, the adhesive that keeps the screen border has become **UNGLUED.**
and also it has broken so thats a big L.
-Keeping the laptop on your lap can cause minor over heating and fans can get really loud
