I have heard that the B gene in some Atlantic Giant plants can cause the yellow coloration on the leaves. That might explain why the rest of the plants nearby have green leaves and the AG has yellow on the leaves.
Yeah, I think the growth will pick up, with the amount of sun we're getting.
😮 How do you know how much weight they gain each day?
There is a simple way to measure them with a soft tape measure. Three measurements get plugged into a volumetric formula. It’s surprisingly accurate.
Someone in the Facebook page Garden of Giants said that sunflowers will slow or stop pumpkin plant growth. Is that true?
That a new one to me but I’m intrigued 🤔
when do you usually put the seeds in the ground ?
April 20th in California is a good approximation. Depends on your local climate.
I should say that is when I put seedlings in the ground. I start seeds indoors 2-3 weeks earlier.
