- I installed the Polaris Roof, the windshield (real glass), rear windshield (also real glass). This video is my overview of the install process and review of the products. Are they worth it?

You do a nice job on your videos. Thanks! I'm going down your whole list of Ranger videos. Hope you'll be continuing to make them as you add modifications to your ride.

Great review. I was also wondering about the front windshield having a bit more space. Picking my Ranger up next week. Will be looking into that more.
I truly believe I can make an extension but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the handle assembly off. I even found the parts diagram. The assembly is as I thought but how to remove the 2 bolts closest to the handle, I have no clue.
@@worldsokayesthunter Hey Cade I designed the 'detent' feel for that handle and it's mounting system before retiring. Do not remove the torx screw! Remove the entire handle first. - 2 screws on each side of the latch assembly. I don't recall why Polaris did not want the vent position any larger.
@@tombender9245 man, thanks for leaving a comment on the video. That's awesome you were part of the design. This thing has me stumped as far as removal. I have a blown up schematic of the parts and understand each bolt but can not get the 2 bolts to loosen from the nuts "inside" the mounting assembly.
@@worldsokayesthunter Hi Cade! The 2 nuts inside the assembly are nylok nuts, so unfortunately it sounds like they are spinning. Someone probably over-torqued them or cross-threaded them during assembly and now the plastic geometry holding the nuts has been damaged, and with them being nyloks, they're going to spin... just a guess. I have an engineering sample of the assembly here. Give me a good address to send a photo to so you can see what the other side looks like. Maybe it will give you an idea or 2 to remove the screws.
my tip out windshield on my polaris northstar 2021 is very noisy either opened or closed when riding off road
Mine is noisy opened, which is very annoying. I need one of the engineer youtube channels to make a better hinge bracket for me/us.

One quick question, would you say the windshield is stable wide open on concrete roads at about 25 mph or does it bounce around alot? Thanks!
At 25 on concrete it is stable wide open, i drive it 15-20 on rough dirt roads all the time.. However, it's got a rattle that aggravates me. I haven't found a better option though. Whatever you do, get real glass.
CADE WHERE DID U GET THE REAR GLASS LOOKING FOR ONR FOR A 2022 RANGER XP1000 CREW THANKS
It's the Polaris Lock and Ride version, I got it straight from the dealer. Really good quality accessory.
