6 years ago in 2018 me and my parents were characters from this show for Halloween my mom was the Black Fairy, my dad was Rumplestiltskin, and I was Gideon.
I must say, for someone who keeps a child in Cells of a prison and not at least an Orphanage or best view(Neverland) Black Fairy has quite the nerve to call herself mother of Gideon😂😂😂
The whole episode indicates that they were good friends. The fact that Gideon couldn't save him had a severe affect on his psychi. The Fandom theory is that Gideon had feelings for him, but unfortunately this was not explored in canon.

I will tell you, I prefer the education than Cora has gave at Regina rather than the education than the black fairy has gave at gideon

Yeah cora was mean to Regina and cruel. But Regina was still available to be happy with her life.

honestly, this new couple would have worked very well, but the black fairy has killed Roderick and never they can be together
but i hope that in the season 7, Gideon is found his true love
