Really all depends on what your setting is . The new technology makes this more compact for lugging , and many features to make crazy mixes . I’ve played on all of them and I can easily say nothing beats the satisfaction of mixing pure vinyl , no aids , waveforms etc just pure clean analog mixing with ears. The hard setback these days is new music basically does not get released on vinyl which is a shame End of the day comes down to the crowd and what you can give them
Cheers buddy… short sweet and neat. Used to use pioneer sl1200’s 30 years ago and now regret selling all my kit and vinyl. Was looking at my options and now decided on your reviews. I ll stick with my home set up and relax with my feet up…mid life crisis over with..
If you can find some first gen AT LP120 USBs (...note they are NOT LP120 "X") to use as only DVS you will get that Technics smile on your face again for a fraction of what you paid for yours back in the day. I let my Technics go and I'm very happy using DVS and the first Gen LP120s. The issue with them is they are not at the same audiophill level as 1200s but for DVS, mixing, scratching they are as good as any clone out there, not "super OEM" but close enough to the torque specs of 1200s that they are worth the price if you can find some around 200 your golden.
Standalones are becoming a bit of a standard for DJs who lug their own gear. XZ and RX Pioneers are everywhere. They’re also the closest thing to an 8k CDJ rig for those who do USB and ‘bring your own gear’ gigs.
@@djpineapple3156 so essentially can you use a "high end" controller to dj a club or venue??...the only advantage of cdj is u dont have to bring laptop but every dj still does when using both cdj and controller

XZ is not very portable, quite heavy but I love it sooooooo much!! ❤
I used to take it up 3 staircase to take my DJ lessons. 😂

I want the 3000's!!!!!
Overpriced trash.
Laptop and a mixer is the most popular for a professional mobile DJ, not even mentioned.
If all you use is a laptop and audio mixer your not a professional DJ lol... you need one of the 3 named in this video.
@@djpineapple3156 Thanks for you input, I will take that into consideration when I get paid.

I must not be a professional DJ but it has been my full time job for 30 years and have won multiple awards. @@djpineapple3156
