Beautiful my mum had 2 silver crosses brown/blue for my sis born in 1993 she gave the prams to me for a while with my dolls nice memories ill never forget i loved those prams wish she kept them and i had them now
You know that pram is in very good condition. You could possibly send it back to Silver Cross to have it cleaned and restored, so your children can use it for their kids just put it in storage either in the garage or your attic. I think silver. Cross sells storage bags for the prams.
Very good idea! However, we sold the pram straight after this video to a family who were going to get a lot more use out of it than us. It was impractical for us as we live in the country and would have had to take it everywhere in the car. A shame, as it was mine from when I was a baby in the '80s
Unscrew the knobs a bit at the base of the hood..slot the prong end of canopy in and tighten up the knob.. attach and adjust the cord to the position you require..there will be a small knob halfway down the body at back and front for the leather pads on end of cord... The man in this video called the hood a canopy though, the hood is totally different to a canopy
@@adbarretttth You can always get a ClippaSafe reins set to install in the pram. They're available on UK ebay. Just need to install D-rings under the bedding if the pram does not have them already.

Yeah there would have been straps you attach to the little hoops inside the pram

Mona Stehling nothing wrong with the hood apart from a little worn corner. As for the chrome, well, it is nearly 40 years old. All sold now.
Love just about any pram, but especially the coach built prams. They look so elegant.
