#CatGodRanch #Part23
The cat really needed some pricing consistency. If one cat food is 3 coins then things that cost 1 cat food should not cost 1k+ coins.
Yeah seems like another sub par cat god.
I feel like the description is missing a cost x stage tag or something
@@donaldsnyder1543 its really good to swap away from with the toy
Except it's much easier to scale coins than cat food. You're getting hundreds of coins per day before you even reach the end game, if it maintained the 1 can = 3 coins ratio it would be ridiculously OP, allowing you to reroll hundreds of times and hoard a bunch of specific stacking relics. I know big numbers scary but you can print coin like crazy.
Cheese is definitely a cat meant for the toy that lets you switch Cat gods halfway through a run. Cheese is a good early game as a strong start will lead to you having the option for a lot of purchasing and early removals but late game- as seen- Cheese drops off BAD 🤣
Seems like it for sure, hope they change it to like Catfood = (2 x Stage Gold) or something of that nature.
@@Retromation honestly with the rate the offerings go up it might have to be exponential or something haha 3^(stage gold)
@@Retromation It would mean at stage 9 (for instance) a reroll would cost 18 gold, when you make 1000+ gold per DAY at that point in this video. At the end of stage 9 shop you had 9000+ coins over the offering, meaning the equivalent of 500+ cat food in your system, with a build that isn't even going particularly hard.
It might need some tweaking but definitely not to that extent.
try out the cat toy that lets you swap cat gods half way through, there's a lot of tomfoolery to be had
I think an interesting option would be a golden piggy bank. Basically like the regular one but you also get interest at the start of a stage which gains value based on how much you spend in the shop. If you need to trigger it to save the run, then you lose the interest.
At least it would change it from bad, to an interesting risk/reward system. At least that way the inflation in the shop wouldn't need to be consistent with cat food prices normally.
I feel like there is some bug going on with the code because it feels like the values aren't being calculated property. So either the description is wrong or the conversion is wrong, either way it needs some heavy patching.
Having said that, the ostrich/cheeta combo feels like they need something else to pop off. I just don't know what.
Finally, the mantis shrimp, I think it feeds animals adjacent instead of the animal on the water. But maybe it does effectively predate the animal?
Really want to see you play with the bionic fish!
That was something. I never thought I would ever say this: I hate Cheese.
I literally just did a run just like this yesterday Holy crap, louise
Thought experiment, but what if Cheese was changed to give a certain amount of money per day or stage based on the number of cans you currently have? That would make the player have a potential trade-off when making purchases at the shop, or removing animals.
EDIT: You came to a similar conclusion at the very end of the video, lol!
I wonder what kind of interaction cheese has with the Komodo dragon? Does it just not work or does it give you 1/3 your total money which would be the cat food value?
Baboons ate my babies...
Does't indicate anywhere that the mantis shrimp kills an animal on the sea water, it gives its feeding to adjacent animals, and I know realistically that would imply the animal would be killed, but this game isn't exactly realistic so there may be no deaths involved
The wording of Feeding is that it eliminates.
I’ve won so many games by just spamming ostrich and cheetah
CGR video.... you know i'm here to comment!!!!!!!!!
Yo how are you doing Retro
Woah i was really early this time
Hey Reto I'll give you 3 pennies for every 10$ bill you can give me 😂.
Such a bad analogy, they're 2 different currencies. If 1 Dollar = 3 Yen but the bank of Japan starts printing copious amounts of Yen whereas the Bank of America isn't printing Dollars, then the exchange rate is going to change.
