Delighted for you. I'm 64 and had the Anterior Approach as well. I had an Epidural I felt nothing at all. Stood up 4 hours after operation and walked with frame 2 hours after that walked with crutches. Last thing at late afternoon walked the stairs and then left for home at 7.30pm . The Pain meds are fantastic so I didn't feel any pain. I'm 4 months post Op and doing very well. Can walk very well for long walks. Only negative haven't fill range of motion yet as far as bending to tie shoe laces . Hoping I get there. Best wishes to all and anyone getting the operation there is nothing to worry ☺️☺️about

Was operated on at 10:00 am and at 6:00 pm they wanted me up and walking. I said no way are you getting me up. I was in severe pain. Told doctor before all was done that i cannot tolerate pain and he did not listen. Ended up staying an extra day in hospital because they could not manage my pain.
