It so fun to see more and more people talking about koh phangan, I’ve been visiting the island every year for almost my entire life( since I was 5!) and is only recently I’ve started to see it getting the recognition it deserves! It an amazing island and to anyone thinking of visiting I highly recommend it
Yeah it's really the most amazing island😍
Those tips are so good, especially the detailed info for the events and locations. Many of the other creators just mention them without any info. 🙏🏾
Glad to hear😊🙏🏽
Thank you for this video, really good camera quality and insider infos here! Keep it up :)
Thanks so much😊🙏🏽
Great informative video Joose thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks! My pleasure🙏🏽
Great video mate
Thank you🙏🏽
love watching your vids
Glad to hear!
This is your best video, yet, Joose. Great content, footage, editing. I really liked the premise - 15 things I wish I knew. Captivating. I've only been to Haad Rin Beach a long, long, time ago and had a blast. It was really nice to see it contrasted to all the other beaches and areas. So many activities to experience on Koh Phan Gan. Liked your new sponsor as well. I've read about shares in paintings.
Thanks so much! Appreciate the feedback🙏🏽 Great to hear!
Amazing video, bro. Just came back from Thailand and i hadn't been to Ko Phangan but after watching this videos it's definetely a must do for the next time i go there
by the way, i saw you've been to Bali, so I'll watch all your videos to now everything about there before going. thanks for the amazing content
@@EvanVeiga thanks bro! Yeah you should definitely go! Nice man🙏🏽
Great film !
Thanks!
Joose, another very informative video. Are you getting around, Romeo?
Thank you! What do you mean?😂
Very nice 👍 Thx
Thanks🙏🏽
great views
Yes I love it here!
I stayed in Chaloklum long term almost 10 years ago now, I love that village! My favourite place to watch the sunset is at 420 club overlooking Koh Ma. When I was first there it was an abandoned hotel and you were there alone, but I returned last year and they have opened a bar, they also do some really good Thai food with very friendly staff :) There is some really cool graffiti on the walls as well
Nice! Oh okay I've been thinking of checking it out! So it's not just for the 420 stuff but also can get thai food haha?
@@JooseTheNomad Yeah, to be honest when I went most weren't there to smoke, just people enjoying the views! The food is a bit expensive, but when the view is that good it's worth it :)
@@Lahuka yeah that sounds really good!
Great video, can’t wait to visit in 2weeks! What’s the island like for card payments?
Thanks! Cash is used a lot, many places accept card but most of the time 3-4% extra charge for it.. enjoy☺️🙏🏽
Awesome and informative! Here on the island myself! $544 is wild though 😂that can be cut way way down for any travelers who have a smaller budget if you eat at the more local spots and markets that are super cheap. If we see you at indigo we will say sup 👋
Thanks! Yeah that's what I always say, can be done way more affordably :) half of my spending was the accommodation this time, wish to find a cheaper place next time😄
This is really helpful. Thanks Joose. Are you doing this type of info for other islands? Do Phuket, Koh Samui have less sand flies and Mozzies? I saw a big jelly fish in Phuket years ago, freaked me out. I never heard of issues though
Glad to hear! There's videos about Phuket etc. but mot like this exactly. Not many mosquitos here now at least!
Subscribe 👏🙌 I needed a video like this,Thanks 👍
Thanks man🙏🏽
Good video
Thanks!
Nice video i was there 2 months oct nov till dec week of dec 2023 damn I’m in love with this place
Thanks! Yeah it's really amazing
Yey! First!
Nice🙏🏽
The king of Finland =) !!
Hahahha🙏🏽
15:26 جميل.. وكلامك وذوقك أجمل من المكان..❤ شكرا وأعتني بنفسك 👍
hike from haad rin to haad yuan is also a must
Nice yeah I heard of that!
Thanks🙏🏽
look so different today from when i went twenty years ago. Though it looks beautiful , The roads were mostly red dirt tracks and you mostly stayed on one beach for months, no cappuccinos or avocados or internet or hot water or electric on all the time, if you needed anything like western food or avocados which i craved u had to go to samui. Chaloklum was still a fishing village where the fish was dried .The question i would ask if these people will be telling you they are spiritual , how spiritual are they really when they want all the westerns thrills, the idea back then was to get away from the western world, theres a food for thought. though it looks beautiful.thank you the dog is so cute,
Haahha that's crazy! I also saw on Google Maps street view that most places I go here, didn't exist 5 years ago😄 They still dry the fish here tho!
yes thats right, i dont think there was much on the west coast srithanu that you mentioned, certainly no nudist beach. though there was hat salad resort just been built. enjoy your time its so special , enjoy the rose quartz energies said to be there.@@JooseTheNomad
@@user-vl3rr2do8y haha thanks so much🙏🏽
Classic hipster boomer who did Thailand before it was cool
You forget my beautiful sweet Sensi shop on the ban tai beach 😜🏄♀️🌴
Thanks
You're welcome!
Good Information. Which drone camera do you use? and is it good?
Thank you! I use DJI Air 3, it's really good but a bit big to carry
What do you use for filming? Looks great!
Iphone 15 pro :) thanks!
Feel free to ask any questions🌴🇹🇭 LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!!
Hey Joose! I'm planning to come to Koh Phangan later this year (around Nov-Dec). I know, wrong season "unfortunately", but coming from northern Sweden, still much better I guess? haha. Anyways, I noticed that the AirBnb prices have gone up a lot and became quite unaffordable. Do you have any Ideas on where to look (other than AirBnb) for a nice, comfortable apartment that's around a maximum of 600€ x month mark? It doesn't have to be big, but a private kitchen and bathroom is a must.
@@edojap I was here that time 2022 and it was rainy most of the time but yes still better than there haha! You can try to find om Facebook groups :)
Is it bad weather in August and September ? Was thinking of travelling then
You should make a video of the gear that you use
I'm all natural😉
@@JooseTheNomad I meant the gear/equipment you use to record, I believe you😅 all love from california!!
When will you make another Da Nang video?
@@ZoFuego_ yeah just kidding haha🙏🏽 I use iPhone 15pro with DJI mic :)
Thanks man! I'm going there in a week so videos starts coming out in few!
Great video! One thing I would add is that you really need a scooter on KPG, and it's not a good place to learn how to drive one. If you don't drive a scooter, some of the other islands like Koh Lanta or Koh Samui are better choices, although the culture is different. I'd recommend Ubud if you want the yoga without the drugs, and Hua Hin if this video made you feel old. 🤣
Thank you! Yeah agreed, already mentioned in previous video. Why Samui better in that case?🙊
@@JooseTheNomad There seemed to be more songtaews on Samui, at least around Bangrak and Chaweng, and the roads weren't as mountainous. Samui has Grab now, although it's much more expensive than in Chiang Mai or Hua Hin. It's 15B for a songtaew in Hua HIn versus at least 200 or 300 average on the islands. Prices have risen dramatically on KPG in the last couple of years, but that didn't happen everywhere. Each place is a bit different, so there's something for everyone!
@@sweetjane6506 yes nice thanks for the info🙏🏽
I learned to drive here and I had zero experience. 😊 Just took it slow first.
@@headphonehuman Yeah it's quite good place to learn I'd think as there's not much traffic :)
Is the swedish minigolf still there? In The middle of the island near Thongsala. I visit this s few Times 9-12 years ago
Seems to be! Haven't been there tho!
@@JooseTheNomad Try it. Its fun:)
@@Malin031 I do love minigolf!
I will be there in a week
Which beach is the best to stay for a week or two nd has the best sunsets,i can ride
Nice! I'd say Hin Kong, Haad Yao, Koh Ma for example good areas to stay
Is it ok to fly a drone ?
how long have you been living like this hopping around, and how long do you think youll live like this?
It's been 3 years. For now, I love it still but also would be great to have more long term home at one point, maybe in Bali :)
2:31 👍 شكرا
Hi, how long do you stay away from a country before you come back? I geard2 months is good in moat cases.
Yeah 1-2 months mostly works well. In Bali I like to spend longer!
@@JooseTheNomadthank you! Appreciate the super fast response 🙏😄
@@lorelaigermain7708 no problem😉
Where to live as a digital nomad in ko pangan?, not so expensive but not alone
4:55 👍
Would you recommend Koh Phangan or Da Nang for a 1 month stay for a digital nomad? Which did you like more? 🙏
I like both a lot. Da Nang is cheaper and more developed. Koh Phangan more nature and more spiritual.
@@JooseTheNomad Cool man, thx a lot. Really helps with the decision.
@@Sleepy_Joe_ glad to hear🙏🏽
Im in Koh Samui, if I come to Koh Phangan, can I take you to dinner? 😊
7:42👍
Compare with Ko Samui?
I'm going there next week! Video coming soon
3:30 👍
Is it easy to get taxis rather than a bike?
I don't think it's that easy
wooow
8:29 👍
✌
🙏🏽
Are you still with Bali girl?
Do a collab with Best Damn Roofer
What's that?😄
Just went to Koh Panghan. And was my least favourite island compared to Koh Tao and Koh Samui.
Though beautiful Paradise, it was too woke for me. Certainly in the northeast. All beautiful people, and more women than men. But all doing yoga and getting massages. It was like most of them lacked purpose of life and desperately tried to fill the void in their lives.
Koh Tao has more character and more joyfull normal people.
I am very much aware that this opinion is based on my personal experience that may be different to other experiences.
I guess we all have our favorite crowds and it's not the same for everyone😄 But, I have to agree little bit. I find myself more connected to people around me in Canggu Bali than here.
How long did you stay tho? It usually takes few weeks to feel part of the community in a place, that's how it was for me here too!
7 days in KP, with on average more than 5 conversations a day, should give you an impression of the island vibe.
How about adding not driving a scooter with one hand so you can film yourself to the list.
You can add that to yours :)
It’s the best place in the world.
One of the best🙏🏽
The roads are empty? It's so full here compared to pre Covid. Sadly videos like this are the reason for that
Where?😂 Only area there's some traffic is thong sala and sometimes Srithanu. And it's high season. Never ever been stuck in traffic here.
@@JooseTheNomad I understand that you think that way if you came here for the first time a year ago, but the rate in which it's increasing is scary. Go to Haad Rin tonight and think about if you want all these people at the places you mention in the video. Zen Beach on Friday is already 5 times busier than what it used to be
@@patrikklaus1642 I would think not everyone who's going to fullmoon watch my videos and wanna stay here longer👀
I wish you would stop advertising this island . Make videos about somewhere else - you’re not helping !
I will soon.. Who am I not helping tho?
Nonsense comment, he IS helping. I have travelled to Thailand a few times and only now, from this video, I learned there is such thing as 60-day eVisa, which is great and I will try to apply for that next time 🙏 Also visiting this island end of year - great advices from this video.
@@ivanapetrovksa6952 thanks so much🙏🏽
Back then it was real paradise now its expensive and scamy
Why scamy?
Hey everyone! My friends and I are embarking on an exciting journey to Thailand from April 19th to May 5th, 2024. We have our itinerary somewhat planned but are reaching out for your wisdom to enhance our travel plans and solve a logistical puzzle.
Our itinerary kicks off in Bangkok on April 19th, soaking in the city until the 22nd. The next highlight is the Full Moon Party in Koh Phangan on April 23rd. We have a brief interlude in our itinerary following the party. We're aiming to explore Krabi from approximately April 26th/28th for 2-3 nights, leaving us with 2 free days (April 24th-25th) after Koh Phangan and before hitting Krabi. Our grand finale is in Phuket from April 29th until May 5th. Here's where we could use your sage advice:
1. **Post-Full Moon Party Decisions:** Post-party, should we stay in Koh Phangan to chill, move to Koh Samui for the two free days, or would you recommend another destination? We're after a mix of nightlife, exploration, beach relaxation, and cultural experiences.
2. **Itinerary Timing Considerations:** With our chosen dates, do you think we'll encounter too much downtime or overcrowding? We're hoping for an ideal mix of excitement and relaxation.
3. **Travel Logistics from Bangkok to Koh Phangan:** For navigating to the Full Moon Party, is it better to organize as a group via an agency, or should we book everything individually? Any agency suggestions are welcome!
4. **Adjustments & Additions:** Any tweaks or additions you'd recommend for our itinerary? Any hidden gems or must-sees we should consider?
5. **Luggage Logistics:** As we move between these diverse destinations, what are your recommendations for managing our luggage? Where can we safely store our bags as we explore, especially when transitioning between places?
Thanks in advance!
