- Are you wondering where to stay in Koh Phangan? If so then let me help you decide on the best area in Koh Phangan for you.
Mnay people only associate Koh Phangan with the full moon party in the south of the island. I made this mistake the first two times I visited. Don't make the same mistake as me and make sure you explore or consider staying in the north of Koh Phangan. Here you can find gorgeous beaches, stunning sunsets and a much more laid back tropical paradise vibe.

I miss Bottle Beach so much!! That was pretty comprehensive video. The north is def the most chill and I would recommend the sunrise side of Haad Rin to the more budget traveller wanting to be near the Full Moon party. Happy Travels

Well done! Super informative video, something we often don’t see other than me, me, full moon! Don’t forget to stop off at Hin Kong beach between Thong Sala and Sri Thanu, probably better then Zen beach for the sunset as there’s a sand bar you can walk out to. 😉

We had our car with us. Alternatively there are tuk tuk that can take you around the island.

Thank you. I don't recommend accessing the beach by motorbike. You can park up and walk down. Its too steep to drive down there.

hi! For a couple that are looking for relax in the nature but also night life which area do you recommend?
The two are in different areas. I'd choose Baan Tai for nightlife and Haad Salad for a relaxed stay.
is it still worth to go mid September to End of September there? Or much better in August?
At the made of September is still good for the weather condition it's mighty rain but not alot. The rainy season will start the meet of October onwards.
We will be in Koh samui in September. I heard full moon parties are every weekend in haad rin. Is this true?
There is full moon party every full moon which is once a month. You can check the date on internet. For more parties You can ask your hotel about it, (we went to half moon party 6 yrs ago and the price much more expensive than full moon one)
Can you recommend any accomodation for couple
I am not familiar with many of the hotels on the island. I have stayed in Sarikantang in Ban Tai and Cookies SaLad Resort in Haad Salad. Both were very nice. ;-)

Is there an area that 20-30yr solo travellers tend to stay in?
If they are parry people, they usually hear to Baan Tai or Haad Rin.
yea.. stoned hippies...Personally I would avoid the full moon crowd like the plague xD
