Read Numbers Chapter 7 (His day is mentioned in Numbers) When it comes to the book of Job, particularly chapters 1 to 5, I see it quite differently than some might. To me, these passages aren't really about birthdays. Personally, I refrain from celebrating or engaging in what I consider pagan or heathen practices related to birthdays, which I see as forms of self-worship. Instead, I believe the passages in Job refer back to the seventh chapter of the Book of Numbers.
We agree. They are so far off. These scriptures are not saying anything against birthdays. It does not say specifically what they are celebrating but only says their day. Ok so let’s say it was their birthday. It says nothing about punishing them for them. Job went ahead and repented for them just in case they were doing something bad.
In no way does this scripture say God does not want you celebrating your birthday. It mentions nothing of the sort. These men are so far off with this. It said Job offered sacrifices because he felt his sons did something during those celebrations that was not of God. It had nothing to do with them celebrating their birthday but perhaps what went on during the celebration. OMG!!
