    Wow, trip down memory lane. I had an almost identical 91. Only differences were mine was a 3/4 ton black/gray two tone with bucket seats and leather interior. That beast helped raise my kids. Took them through 6 western states over 300,000 miles to all their football, baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, & wrestling events.
    They had such great memories of trips with their friends on the teams that they were visibly upset with me when I finally sold her and upgraded to my current Excursion. Man what great memories this video brought me, thank you for posting this. These were rock solid beast that GM was producing. IMO best Suburbans they ever made.
    Check out the square body build on Merricks Garage, that thing is being built the way GM should have produced Suburbans!

    As much as I like the red colour, personally I would have left it in the stock silver. Great looking unit though. And personally, I think you are correct in not posting a price. People who are genuinely interested will take the 5 minutes to call or reach out directly.

      Agreed on the color. Especially when he opened the door. Was hoping for a black interior with that red.

    My 1999 2500 suburban 454 is virtually rust free, and the interior is near mint condition. Even so, it doesn’t look as good as this one.

    Hey i love your channel, i myself have a 94 k2500 suburban that i was planning on building, idk what direction im going to go with it or if im goin to sell it, it is a factory ordered big block with a 42 gal gas tank and a dana 70 rear and was ordered with captain chairs in first and second row. Rare beast. Navy blue with navy interior, pw, pl, ac front an rear, still works. From navada so there not a spec of rust on it.

    Grady, I have an 87 V20 diesel Burb. Its 3/4 Ton 8 lug. I just ordered Bilstein 5100's for the front but I have 4 front shocks. Bilstien says I only need the two 5100's but I am adding a winch and more. I'm wanting to add the additional two shocks, would you do KYB? I don't want to mess up the Bilstein ride quality. Thanks in advance.

      Well, hard to say if interested without knowing how much. So I'm guessing it's pretty crazy price. From my experience, when a seller won't state price publicly, it's way to high. Nice truck. But seems I need to keep looking 😁✌

    • @bobjackson7516
      @bobjackson7516 2 года назад +1

      @@dougbrzeczek8655 The price being "crazy" is relative. Of course, the lease expensive way to own one, would be to do all the work yourself.

    • @dougbrzeczek8655

      I'm not expecting it to be cheap... but I been looking for awhile n do buy n sell lots of classic cars. What I'm saying is most of the time when seller says contact for price they are fishing n going to reply " what's it worth to ya" or give more details n then spit out a crazy price price. Why can't he just say what he wants? It's for sale right? I was very interested till the contact for price part, especially on a square body... every time .. it's a run around to get to an unreasonable number. I could be wrong, but then why can't he spit out a price. Like I said nice truck n I know it's not cheap. I just get the vibe it's going to be very, very high priced. Good luck to him. But its usually easier n kinda appropriate to include a price on something for sale??? I could be wrong, I'm old. Maybe that's how it's done now. But probably scaring off more potential buyers with the contact for price deal.

    • @bobjackson7516
      @bobjackson7516 2 года назад +1

      @@dougbrzeczek8655 He has had videos where he's listed price points for the tiers of upgrades, so he's not always 'hiding' the price. I'd imagine this one is more than the usual 'tier' as it required more work than most previous builds. I hear what you're saying about not being upfront about the price, but I do think that's a tactic that's more and more common nowadays. I'm not a fan of that and have past up items for sale that I was mildly interested in. Just not interested enough to do the work, I'd rather be lazy and just be told. From what I've gathered about the fella, is that he's not "slimy", like the cliché used car salesman, so I don't believe he's up to a dirty trick or anything. I do love the content here though, and love to see these ol dogs brought back from the dead to bring more enjoyment to peoples lives.

  • @clarkleakins879
    @clarkleakins879 2 года назад

    If you can not list the asking price, then you are simply "fishing".
    Many of other RUclips auto sales tell the price, and show a test drive, with much more details.
    Not a good way to RUclips your sales, after the nice introduction by Tristan of SUVrving.
    Just my humble opinion.
