Looks great, considering the material you had to work with. I’ve been in a similar situation trying to kerf bend pine skirting and a dado rail. Absolute nightmare! Well done!
Mate, you just reminded me of a kerfed dada I had to do when I first started! It did not go well! I really did feel disheartened at the end of yesterday as the skirting’s elsewhere are such good quality! Thanks for watching
Hi mat. Really feel for you when coming to fit real timber skirting, never mind making curved skirting out of it. There is only true craftsman that understand what you’re going thru and people wouldn’t why it cost what it does. From one joiner to another, well done 👍
Cheers Paul. It’s really hard to know if it’s our expectations or if we are just not producing enough work! Thanks so much for the comment, tbh i didn’t enjoys this week! Thanks for watching.😊
What’s good Mr Cool! Very kind of you to say😎It’s week 1 although I have probably done it since! ruclips.net/video/eeffTc_Od0k/видео.htmlsi=Pt1Z7YskTVl-4IQb ridiculously long video and obviously my first ever attempt at filming! It’s @15:50ish btw! Thanks so much for watching
Been there done that, it is painful experience! Trying to kerf softwood around a curve is a fool's errand, and forgot about trying to steam it, as that will not work either. You may have steamed a hardwood free of knots but IMHO curved work needs to be machined up in a joinery.
Ha ha😅 tell me about it! So frustrating as all the other skirts are hardwood in the house! Tbh I squeezed the job in last minute and only had x amount of days. A more prepared me would have refused those skirts! Thanks so much for watching and the spot on comment! Cheers Matt👍🏻
What a job you got there bud😵💫I don't think I'd have the patience, and you're making a superb job👊Cheers Del
Ha ha! Yeah patience was tested here for sure😂 thanks so much for taking the time to watch! ❤
