Cage the elephant is extremely popular lol. They're in the top 500 most listened bands/artists in the world on spotify.
I've seen them twice in concert . Once with The Black Keys in September of 2014 and again in June of this year with Portugal , the Man along with Twin Peaks. Cage's audience has grown very nicely between the two shows, but they are not extremely popular, yet. I have to say, they got much better between the two shows . And I will say that this past CtE's show, at the Jacob Pavilion , was *THE BEST* concert I have been to in a longtime. So, that's why I say , YET.
Was looking for the strokes song and found a pleasant surprise.

Man they're doing a bad job marketing this album. I love it, it's my favourite by them, but there just isn't many views or much reception. Ah well, still awesome.

EmoChickHidden I guess, but such a reduction in numbers means they even lost some of their old fans. And I know you'll bring out the whole "real fans" argument, but it would really be nice if this album got more publicity because I think some of the songs have a lot of appeal.
metaitachi they lost fans who liked their old music style, which kinda changed over time,but alot of bands do the same. I still love them.
Anthony Esquero Honestly I don't think that's the issue at all. Their new style completely supports old fanbases IMO (it's not some alienating weird new direction). I just think that they did little promotion. So fans who follow their bands came along but more casual fans didn't really realize there was a new album. Fans and critics loved this album, the only reason it doesn't have a lot of views is because of lack of promotion (I noticed as soon as Come a Little Closer was the only single).
