Welcome back to Ask Drac About Halloween Cocktails
Today I wanted to try a few more Halloween themed drinks. The first is the Skeleton Key Cocktail.
Skeleton Key
This is a fun drink and very tasty.
Ingredients
• 1 1/4 ounces bourbon
• 3/4 ounce elderflower liqueur (8.25g carbs)
• 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
• 3 to 5 ounces ginger beer
• 8 dashes bitters
Instructions
1. Gather the ingredients.
2. Build the bourbon, liqueur, and lemon juice in a Collins glass filled with ice.
3. Top it off with ginger beer.
4. Garnish with bitters.
5. Serve with a straw.
Next let’s try a Drunk Witch Cocktail. Shout out to all of my Witchy Friends our there!
Drunk Witch
Ingredients:
• 2 oz. vodka
• 2 oz. grenadine (9.6g carbs)
• 2 oz. Blue Curacao
• Sprite to top
• Optionally garnish with Maraschino cherry
Instructions:
1. Add your vodka, grenadine, and Blue Curacao to a cocktail shaker with ice
2. Give it a good shake until well mixed and icy cold
3. Strain into a glass tumbler filled with ice
4. Top with Sprite and garnish with a cherry
Finally let’s try the Headless Horseman Cocktail.
Headless Horseman
(A cocktail by @mixinguptiki !)
This is very good. It has a balanced taste the smell of the mint adds to the taste.
Ingredients:
• 1 oz. Plantation Barbados 5 Year
• 1 oz. Plantation OFTD
• 1/2 oz. Cinnamon Syrup
• 1/4 oz. Allspice Dram
• 3/4 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
• Garnish: Fresh mint
• Glassware: Anything spooky or a Double Old Fashioned glass
Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients into a shaking tin with pebble ice.
2. Shake for 5-8 seconds.
3. Open pour into tiki mug.
4. Top with more pebble ice.
5. Garnish.
That’s it for Halloween Cocktails this year. I used reduced carbs at Allen’s request in these cocktails.
