    This kid is going to be a stud in the league in a few years, you can see he still has a lot of work to do if he wants to be an all star in the big leagues. 2018-2019 the Celtics are going to be a very young hungry team!!

    • @chandlerraines4178
      @chandlerraines4178 8 лет назад +1

      +Mutey Ikuku You can't expect a guy to make a high percentage of contact lay ups? The point is if you don't foul him when he drives to the hoop he's going to make it. You have to foul him when he drives otherwise it's going in, but then when you foul he has chances at the line so either way he's coming away with points.

    • @chandlerraines4178
      @chandlerraines4178 8 лет назад +1

      As he gets stronger and the game slows down though he should start to make a few more contacts lay ups for chances at the 3 point play. But again finishing through the foul isn't expected as it isn't a routine play and I've only really seen LeBron do it at a somewhat high percentage

      John McBrearty in my opinion I feel like the Pacers have the best shot. They made some interesting moves this off season. They acquired Jeff Teague, Thad Young, and got Big Al. What team do you think has a shot at the Cavs in the East?

    • @Ahilliard44
      @Ahilliard44 8 лет назад

      Celtics almost have all the pieces in place. I'm expecting a strong season and then a push into the playoffs next year. It all depends on how Brown and the team's chemistry develops. He has a high ceiling and already seems to know how to flow through a defense as a slasher no matter the level. If he can improve his finishing around the basket, after contact, he will be a force. He's already a strong defender and seems to have a consistent midrange jumper.

    we all criticizes him for not having a jumpshot that is consistent. People said that about mj, people said that about kawhi, hell they even said it about harden. What do people not understand about basketball players. You can develop a jumpshot you can't develop the atheliticism that these players have.

    I'm a celtics fan and I was actually hype asf when we signed him I knew about how athletic he was and how underrated his shot is. He has the strength to finish around the rim, he just needs to build the skill and experience, because like that commentator said, he was relatively unchallenged at the rim in college because of the athletic monster he is. Reminds me of Grant Hill or a young VC.

    I know it's early, but I think this draft could produce at least three future Cetlics that play major roles in the coming seasons. Jaylen Brown, while raw, seems like the real deal and if his shot comes around he could end up being close to a superstar. Yabusele was a nice surprise in summer league and with a season or two overseas I could see him becoming a really good PF. Also, I think that at least one of Bentil, Jackson, or Nader develops into a solid bench player (personally my money is on Nader). I haven't seen enough of Ante Zizic to comment on him.

    There is a big difference between having an "nba ready" body and an "nba ready" game. JB has the body and athleticism. The hope is that his skills will catch up with that, and sooner rather than later. He's already shown flashes of what that could look like, but until he gets the coaching, practice, training and in game experience it's pretty much a 50/50 crapshoot as to whether it will pan out. As a Celtics fan I wasn't nearly as upset with the pick as a lot of fans were, but will admit that at this point (VERY early) Dunn looks ahead of JB. We'll see how things look in 3 years though. The good news is that with Crowder signed the C's can take their time with Brown. When Crowder's contract is up, Brown will be going into his 5th year in the league.

  • @nicolascuenca254
    @nicolascuenca254 8 лет назад

    Damn he's aggressive on the drive. It's also nice that he drives all the way and doesn't do the little midrange jumper stop nonsense. Getting fouled is money in the bank. Once he gets a little stronger he'll be finishing more. He needs to get a little smarter since he's used to muscling people but he's intelligent so I think that will happen. I think he'll get like low 20 minutes a game since he's different enough to Crowder.

He's a very raw and prospect, but he's tons of potential and tremendous attributes you can work with. He's also in a great position where it can work, I think he can be really good. I think his ceiling is james harden

    super strong and athletic . when he gets more disciplined he is going to be a beast defensively. But does this guy pass? Can he consistently make the right play 3 years from now? I feel he has a long way to go with is IQ. Misses wide open guys , barrels in to defenders. He ain't getting them calls in the regular season! He won't be bailed out that easily! Has to have a more consistent fluidity in his jumpshot. Looks like he's prone to bad shots/ bad shot decision making. The total upside: brad stevens is his coach and he has established scorers and play makers around him that he won't be asked at this point in his career to carry the scoring load and have the ball in his hands as much. Let's see what happens

      +Thomas Cho yeah and do you know where he was picked in the draft. He was not even that good coming out of college. You can't just say"nah he won't be that good", before they ever even play. You can't have Michael Jordan coming out of college with people comparing him dr.J and say " Nah he won't be that good". Because the draft is a crapshoot and you can't get access to a player's mentality and will. Jaylen brown and hield have the hardest work ethics in the draft and he does remind me a little of early kawhi. Kobe was the 13 th pick Draymond green was a second round pick. Isaiah Thomas was last. You just never know.

    Why is Jaylen Brown considered better than Marquese Chriss? Chriss is a better athlete and shooter. Only thing he got going for him is defense.

    It's summer league. Let him go through a full season first before you start hyping him.

    It's a highlights video and I didn't see enough of them and quality not great. With a highlight vid. they leave out 95% of his play which was likely poor. He looks small, weak and clumsy.

    the real highlights are only 2min long..the rest of the 5min is him getting foul calls..the video is weak.. as far as Brown as a player I don't think he's that good.. put me down for zero all star appearances.. won't even get close
