Actually, Vytautas didn't beat the Teutons, that would be Władysław II Jogaila at Grunwald & his son Kazimierz IV in the Thirteen Years War. Vytautas only *tried to* beat the Mongols, but was defeated at Vorskla. Also, Lithuania was only taken by Russians in the Partitions. Poland was divided between the three (teritory of the Kingdom of Poland)
Jogaila (Wladyslaw) was the overall commander, who stood on a hill and watched over the battle. Vytautas, while hierarchically bellow Jogaila, was the on-field commander, and was the highest ranking person actively participating in the battle. Some of Lithuania was taken by Prussia. Up to Kaunas. Any map will show this.
Umm, no at the Battle of Grunwald Vytautas was a the field commander and Jogaila the overall commander. And Prussia during the partitions took some Lithuanian territory, all of Suvalkija.
This is so cool! I just came from Vilnius Lithuania yesterday! It was very pretty BUT sooo cold!! Bring brother is stationed there so we went to visit him from California!! Such a long plane ride 😂 but it was worth it !
Balts weren't the first people who moved into the baltic territories. Finno ugric peoples moved in way before balts did, from the Dnieper territories. Otherwise, this video is great!
I'm sorry, but what you say at 37:28 is untrue. Lithuanian was an official language of the Luthuanian SSR as per the cultural self-expression laws the Soviets adopted under Lenin. Every Soviet republic had its own official language and it's own recognized culture. In these factual videos one should stick to the facts.

Big Sean and Travis Scott say hi
Hi Big Sean and Travis Scott
I'm sorry, but what you say at 37:28 is untrue. Lithuanian was an official language of the Luthuanian SSR as per the cultural self-expression laws the Soviets adopted under Lenin. Every Soviet republic had its own official language and it's own recognized culture.

I was referring to the Russification period in the 1800s, not the Soviet era.
