I love that cuda. I have a book written by the Gm engineer who built the ls1 and c5 Vette and he talks about how the oil pan is a major structural part on the ls motors. I never run a pan that don’t bolt to the transmission. I know everyone runs regular pans like canton etc. but on aluminum motors it’s definitely a important part.
I’m 45 I have to young kids. I’m a ups guy I work 50 plus hours a week. I’ve had my chevelle for 26 years. It was my daily, I raced it at redline road in Philly pre fast and the furious. Thanks to Tony’s channel 🙏🏻 my sons are pumped to get my car rolling again. THANK YOU FOR THE MOTIVATION!! 3 weeks in we did new breaks, crab plugs fluids, tires and we are rolling. Thank you, Tony! Love what you do!
The struggle of modifying cars is knowing that this pretty much never workout as planned. Good job on coming back to your dream build and working out the little details. People don’t know how much work and dedication it takes to get to a finished product that you can finally enjoy and have fun. Love this channel.
Im a big fan of yours but I've been keeping a super close eye on all of your content patiently waiting to see you come back to this car. As a die hard mopar guy, and a drift guy, this makes me super excited. keep it up!
Hi Tony and Crew, I found out a couple of years ago, after 54 yrs. that wearing a Under Armor helmet liner works much better than a hat, it keeps your dome covered and it isn't always getting knocked off at the worst possible time. It's easier to wear a welding helmet, grinding shield or a head light. Try it you might like it! Then you can get stay tuned ones made!!
I wanna do a similar pro touring treatment on a 1981 Z28 Camaro! It's the ultimate evolution of the 2nd gen bodystyle and they look SO rad in black with the firey orange and red graphics, just they never had the oomph to match the looks when they came out. Easily remedied!
I remember watching the Cuda on HRG. I particularly remember watching it on the drift track. There was a slow motion shot of it coming out of the corner and the right rear quarter panel was jiggling like Jello. I often wondered if I was the only one who saw that.
Your magnetic oil plug tip... "Just ignore it! OK... Doesn't matter. She's fine." Sounded like you were channeling Derek Bieri from Vice Grip Garage? ;) Love that Cuda! Have fun with it!
I honestly don't know how many times I watched the HRG episodes of building this car while I was doing the 3 link in my chevelle. Too many, but not enough. I took a LOT of inspiration from Fishtail and Lucky's chevelle. SO glad you're finally dialing in this puppy
I so enjoy this version of Tony instead of the big channel stuff. Just feels right, thanks for doing you and letting me kill 30 minutes on a late night.
Grew up with uncles that were all Mopar or no car and remember pulling wheel stands in one uncle dusters and sitting in one's driveway with 68 roadrunner he traded dirt bike for no interior but it had big block and he wo round up old tires and all us cousins we sit inside taking turns as he just sit and bake set after set of tires and we had pleasure of changing that's was some of hundreds great memories as kid in Bedford PA that was vacation away from York bald hills were I grew up but the Cuda was one of my all time favorite cars and would love to have one maybe someday keep up great work and have great day.
@TONY ,,, Back when you were building this car originally, I tried to get you to call CARL GERST. He is the original builder/engineer of what is now, QA1's front end that you are so happy with today.... You should have listened to me!!!!!!
More mopar madness! Love it. I'm your number one apreceator with US roots who lives in the Netherlands. I lived in MA for ten years. The channel is down to earth, funny and has its own identity. I friggin love it. Soon there will be too many comments to reply too. But remember this guy, the Dutch one. Been with you since the first few weeks and I'm rooting for the channel to be exactly what you want it to be. Cheers Tony!
Tony, i have found that if you put a little gasoline on it and agitate it with a brush, the floor dry becomes almost infinitely reusable. Been using the same oil dry for a few yrs. Antifreeze, oil, washer fluid... it works for them all. If you have oil spots in your concrete, put gas on it, scrub for a 20-40 seconds then top with oil dry. It will pull the oil stain out of the concrete.
Tony that Cuda is wicked! I watched the video while I was at chemo. Thanks for the kind words. Keep up the content, which helps me fight! Pancreatic cancer sucks!
Dude I watched this video just 🙏 that the Cuda would finally be road worthy..the last 2 mins I had a huge smile on my face...so awesome to see and even better to hear that hemi scream!!!
I remember watching the initial build of this, never liked the flares but the rest is dope. Old 2doors need the guards pumped, stock lines just fat and tough..
You gotta bring that thing to some events at E-town man! It was my favorite build on hot rod garage, then never got driven haha. Now we know you had problems with it, and now that you’ve sorted it, I hope you shred it!
Looks great , as someone who saw them in my high school parking lot . Cuda was pre drifting. Honestly if you can drift consider dirt track racing. Was the best time of my life !!!
This channel is everything I am missing from older days of Motortrend (and the brief period of non-US being "allowed" on Motortrend on Demand). I also LOVE that you put out videos every week!
Great to see you back on this build. I actually built 73 cuda 6.4 swap with RMS suspension based on ur build. I was not at the level of you to fabricate a custom rack n pinion so just bought one. Def a sick car.
Dude i was literally thinking the same thing when you built it, the flares didnt cut it for me and i did feel like it got rushed at the end of the HRG episode. Keep going with it, make it right! Stoked for ya
Totally understand why you were disappointed before. When the reality doesn't match your vision of the project, it can be a huge bummer. Glad to see you making it better 👍
I’m so disappointed that I didn’t get any tire smoke in this episode but I did get Arugula on a pizza so you’re forgiven. Much love Brother. Keep kicking ass. Do a drag and drive soon!
Gotta say, this new suspension got me fall in love the car's whole silhouette all over again. There's just something about a vintage body on a drift stance that ticks my boxes, tho i'm sure it can get a bit lower for that hella nasty look.
If Stay Tuned turned into a pizza channel I’d still watch religiously.
Wait, I thought it was with a sprinkling of car stuff…
Yeah, double Mopar goodness on this pie. But I’m still questioning the salad on there,,, lol
Seriously, west coast delivery doesn't look like that..
West coast pizza, delivery does not look like this.. well done sir..
It kinda is 😂 🍕
I have never been a fan of big graphics on cars but that strobe stripe on that thing is killer
I'm glad your having fun in your Cuda Tony. Hats off to you and your crew for making this Mopar shine.
So happy that you brought this back Tony!
Thanks! I'm glad we are getting back into it!
@@StayTunedTA
Gearstar transmissions any good?
Tony's back in love with the Cuda. Looking forward to seeing you get the bugs worked out and putting some miles on it.
Thanks! Appreciate it!
99% sure this is my favorite car from the entire motor trend catalog. By far the best looking.
I’m 45 I have to young kids. I’m a ups guy I work 50 plus hours a week. I’ve had my chevelle for 26 years. It was my daily, I raced it at redline road in Philly pre fast and the furious. Love what you do!
I cannot believe it was 2016 when we watched up explaining the drift suspension and how it all worked. 7 years ago ! Where does the time go !!
Love that pizza is still part of your party, Tony. Glad to see you working on the 'Cuda. Was a fun watch on HRG.
Right on! Thanks!
I like Tony's 70's Cop look 😊
Missed this car cant wait to see it on a road course!
That car is so sick. She is gorgeous!!!!!!!!
I'm glad he's back on his own channel.
I watched a few videos on Hagerty, but it was a pain getting to just Tony's stuff
YES! been waiting YEARS for this day.
Stoked to see the Super Mario 'stache is back. Baller!
HA, I just let my 7 year old dictate my facial hair this week, and this is the result.
Thought you lost a bet 😂
Pretty much my favourite HRG build, so awesome to see it back. The test drive had me smile 🙂 Thanks for the video!
So cool!
I remember way back when you first got it and start the Sema thrash.
I was lucky enough to be there when you unveiled Fishtail at SEMA. Love to see more of it!!! 🤘
This is by far my most favorite car you have built.
I'm glad you're finally getting the opportunity to turn this car into what it can be. It's way to cool to half ass it.
The struggle of modifying cars is knowing that this pretty much never workout as planned. Good job on coming back to your dream build and working out the little details.
People don’t know how much work and dedication it takes to get to a finished product that you can finally enjoy and have fun.
Love this channel.
A awesome car made even better, we'll done guys!!! Miss you on Hot Rod Garage Tony!
Brother, a shaker ram air hood wood be sick!!!!!
Im a big fan of yours but I've been keeping a super close eye on all of your content patiently waiting to see you come back to this car. As a die hard mopar guy, and a drift guy, this makes me super excited. keep it up!
A Mopar guy and a Drift guy? Welcome to the club, there's 9 of us worldwide!~
😂
Such an insanely awesome car. The engine choice and color/decal combo are perfection 👌

Thank you for giving the Cuda the justice it deserved.
How do I like this video more than once. Cuda! Cuda! Cuda! Cuda! Cuda!
That thing looks fun to drive 👍🏽
So sick! Hopefully you get to enjoy and play a bit before it goes under the knife for metal flares.
I remember watching the Cuda on HRG. I particularly remember watching it on the drift track. There was a slow motion shot of it coming out of the corner and the right rear quarter panel was jiggling like Jello. I often wondered if I was the only one who saw that.
I remember too. As with all sema builds, you don't want to look too close 🤫 lol
Your magnetic oil plug tip... "Just ignore it! OK... Doesn't matter. She's fine." Sounded like you were channeling Derek Bieri from Vice Grip Garage? ;) Love that Cuda! Have fun with it!

The pizza joints in PA need to get on board and offer Stay Tuned signature pizzas!
I agree with this!
Always wondered why I didn’t see you enjoying this car.
Glad your getting around to fixing it. Love the way it looks👍
I so enjoy this version of Tony instead of the big channel stuff. Just feels right, thanks for doing you and letting me kill 30 minutes on a late night.
Hearing the air hammer sped up like a kazoo was pretty funny! Hope you get to enjoy the upgraded Cuda
Loved the look on Tony’s face during the test drive. I’m pumped for this!
I love that thing!!!!! Top 3 favorite for me as well. Great work! That thing sounds Amazing!!!!!
Love the K&G speed shop shirt. Glad to see a local place to me get some love !
SHES BACK! This car made the cuda become my dream car back in hs. Yours is so badass, glad it’s getting love again!
Awesome! Thanks for watching.

Love the manly stash - So much Tony ❤️❤️
Fishtail ‘Cuda smoky drift t shirts for the win!! I’d buy one of those, Tony!
Congratulations dude, she's gunna be a ripper now.watching from Perth Australia 🇦🇺

Also this episode got me inspired to get my '73 Dart back on the road!
I've missed this car. The level of excitement as you stomped the gas at the end has me fired up for more.
Dude, I've missed this car. I forget where, but i remember it from a few years ago. Much love from AZ Tony!! 🤙🏻
Tony, i have found that if you put a little gasoline on it and agitate it with a brush, the floor dry becomes almost infinitely reusable. Been using the same oil dry for a few yrs.

No way, I'll try that for sure!
Most underrated channel on RUclips. Keep ‘em coming boys!
Those guys at pheonix build some sick stuff. in good hands. I hope to see this thing in person sometime.
The boogie nights tash really goes with the car 👌
Got to love that Cuda. It looks great, sounds great, and tears it up
👍👍 awesome... can't wait to see this bad boy hitting the track
I even like the fender flares. It’s like a JDM style fusion with Old Miscle.
Always wanted to see the cuda do a full rip! Thats awesome bro.
I love that car and I love that you got it where you want it now.
So stoked to see this cuda get dialed in
Love how this car looks!
Air hammer in fast forward is my new favorite sound
It does rule, right?!
THAT is a fine sounding automobile!
I remember watching the initial build of this, never liked the flares but the rest is dope. Old 2doors need the guards pumped, stock lines just fat and tough..
I love this channel. I love these builds. This channel is the definition of hot roding 💯🔥💪🏼
love the sound gen 3 hemis make.
Great video. I'm pumped for you to get the Cuda back on the road, It'll drive like a dream.
You gotta bring that thing to some events at E-town man! It was my favorite build on hot rod garage, then never got driven haha. Now we know you had problems with it, and now that you’ve sorted it, I hope you shred it!
Always enjoy hanging w/you fellas!! Play your vides while working on my toys and pretend yall are kicking it there!😂😂jk
Enjoy working on toys.!!
Looks great , as someone who saw them in my high school parking lot . Cuda was pre drifting. Honestly if you can drift consider dirt track racing. Was the best time of my life !!!
This is exactly what I want to do with my built '69 Charger RT. The factory suspension is absolutely horrible... TY for this video!
This channel is everything I am missing from older days of Motortrend (and the brief period of non-US being "allowed" on Motortrend on Demand). I also LOVE that you put out videos every week!
FINALLY!! i have waited for ever since you guys built it on hotrod garage to see this car rip around a track sideways :D
We are taking it out for a track day next week! Just came off the alignment rack!
Great to see you back on this build. I actually built 73 cuda 6.4 swap with RMS suspension based on ur build. I was not at the level of you to fabricate a custom rack n pinion so just bought one. Def a sick car.
That sounds killer, glad to finally get it sorted too! Thanks for watching!
How could you not love this car.
Edit......oh OK I see, lol but now it is finally going to have that sick finish
Can’t wait to see you address the body modifications and add the proper 70s style Trans-Am race car body flares to get it looking just right!
Love the Cuda it's totally badass..
Thanks! It was a long time dreaming that up and finally getting it rocking feels good!
Nice to see it getting some love!
Sounds awesome, looks great bow it handles you made a very nice package.
This is one of two of my mopar dream cars, the 1970 challenger being the other...this Cuda is totally rad!
I love this car. You picked the perfect look for it.
God its my dream set up im so glad tour finally finishing this build
Randomly got this suggested by youtube, gotta say I love the color scheme on your car! The build seems interesting, I'll have to catch up on the rest.
Hay Tony, you were kind enough to answer my questions at Drift Atlanta, in between yelling that the judges sucked, miss seeing you on the track.
Ha! That must have been forever ago but glad we got a moment to talk. Who was yelling the judges suck, me or you?
@@StayTunedTA You bro! All You! LOL!! Then you became a judge. Ha!
Awesome work TA!
Awe man! That’s ten kinda of awesome when you see the pay off shots
Stoked! Glad you're happy with it! Can't wait to see more of this car!
This is my favorite car that you own. Please dial it in and throw a dash and some interior bits on it. Make it a nice street track drift muscle.
Thanks! It definitely needs wiring, and some glass, and some locks and a dash and a bunch of things to do any street duty but it's radical.
Love the car and the stache! Keep coming out with these great videos!
Props to K&G...love you repping the East Coast...
Dude i was literally thinking the same thing when you built it, the flares didnt cut it for me and i did feel like it got rushed at the end of the HRG episode. Keep going with it, make it right! Stoked for ya
Looks like that sump is set up for some turbo drains 🔥
I'll have to go with the 1968 Dart or Cuda with an old school Hemi. They run 8.40s @ 160 if set up right, N/A only!
Totally understand why you were disappointed before. When the reality doesn't match your vision of the project, it can be a huge bummer. Glad to see you making it better 👍
