You know what,,, we just gotta realize EVERRRRYTHING is going up in prices. Vintage is OUT OF CONTROL too now. Even at yard sales, estate sales, etc. The more popular it gets da more it sky rockets. So we better get what we want now. This is a beautiful piece. I'd appreciate ANY BREAD you teach us. I did good on your no knead 1.

That’s very nice Mr. Luis. Looks roomie enough for a big loaf. And yes of course I would love a good sourdough recipe and then the bread to go along!

I got mine from Amazon as well. It is poorly packaged by both Deli Co and by Amazon. Deli Co has it in their own box, but it's shipped with no buffer between the 2 halves. It was shipped with just the handles zip tied together. When I picked up the Amazon box on my porch, I could hear the 2 halves clanking against each other. And Amazon does use a box to hold the Deli box that is 2x too big, with nothing in there to take up space. It is a rough casting, definitely coarser and more pits etc than Lodge.

Loved your video! Do you have the recipe for roasting a chicken in this Dutch oven? You mentioned other recipes. If there a link to those recipes?

By any chance has anyone used the the Loafnest product? It is more expensive than this one (currently 209 vs 149 on Amazon) but was just wondering. It seems to be intended for batard type loaves, using a preshaped silicone type liner in the base.
P.S. Just saw they are running a deal on the Loafnest on Amazon. Down to $178 (as of Sept 7 2023)

Did you preheat the Dutch oven before you placed the dough into it? Thx!

Yes pre heating both the oven and baking vessel are recommended. I usually bake at 450°f
