Hi, I would like to talk with you regarding IELTS and Online business. I am owner of an institution in India, and I want a few native English Speakers to be part of my business, so we all can grow together.
I wish I had an English teacher like you when I was a child. I attended a few elocution classes as an adult but still need improvement in my pronunciation. Thanks a lot for your time and effort.
It's very true what you are saying in this video: I used to pronounce 'cho - co - leit Besides, I couldn't ever pronounce in a right way the word "comfortable", bu now I really can. Thanx to you, Emma!!!! I love you!!!
I am Spanish so the video was quite helpful for me thanks Emma. Now except (thanks to you) entrepreneur, I have got them all right. Literature and architecture are tricky for me too , hope that is helpful
Thanks ever so much, Emma. They are really common mis-pronounced words. Pronunciation Certificate Important Heart Iron Recipe Receipt Colonel Chaos Fruit Chocolate Comfortable Colleague Psychology Entrepreneur

thank you so much Emma for this very useful video, 'chocolate for you 🍫 (I was mispronouncing 'chocolate' and 'certificate' till time, i knew the rest )
Hi Emma, nice video as always, I got them all right ! I think that the oddest pronunciation in British English is Lieutenant, leftenant, although no f appears in the spelling! Everytime I fly Alitalia they say that " the Kree'oo welcomes you on board" haha! So crew is another mispronounced word, at least here in Italy
Hello Emma! You said about "iron" that in British English it is pronounced differently TO an American English. Has "different TO" become standard English, i.e. has it chased away "different FROM"? Furthermore, what's new to me is the occurrence of "AN American English", in which I find the indefinite article "AN" quite puzzling! Can you explain?
Luckily, I have been pronoucing them correctly but I had never heard the last word, haha. I'm an Argentinian English teacher and I use your videos to teach phonetics. I love the simplified way in which you explain the features of the sounds. I love your videos!
Hey Emma! I got each and everyone one of them correct but certificate was an exception. I really enjoy watching your videos they are just marvellous and u teach in such an easy way thanks for sharing this info!
Hi Emma, thank you so much for this video, it was so helpful! Finally, I know how to pronounce "Pronunciation" and "Colonel"! You're the best teacher :))! Best wishes from Portugal :D
Hi Emma, when you say the word 'Iron', I notice you used the linking 'j' sound, is that right? so we need to use linking 'j' for the inside of words? Thanks for all your course, they're very helpful for me.
I had never heard 'colonel' before 🤭 Now, it's clear 😉 By the way, I have some words you may find useful to add to your list of mispronounced words for future videos: - FAVOURITE/FAVORITE - INTERESTING - HISTORY - MOUNTAIN - FOUNTAIN
I was mispronouncing most of these words. I find English pronunciation to be quite difficult, but I'm decided to get fluent. I'm working on it as hard as I can and your channel is incredibly helpful to me. Thanks!
So colonel is pronounced like kernel? That's why I made confusion when they said they needed to kill the colonel then I started to think: Before they kill the kernel they need to kill Linus Torvalds first ;D
Good video as usual. Got me at certificate and iron. I think you should try and visit the northeast of Scotland for some challenging experience in English pronunciation.
Thanks you !!! Eternally I owe you one yeah ! Many times I mispronounce some words and I think I shoub be calm and keep practicing. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.
I made wrong pronunciation of certificate, others all are alright... THANKS GOD. & Thank you,. You Emma for ENLIGHTENING and EDUCATED US. You are great, I appreciate, KHALID FROM QATAR
Hi Emma☺ Do you hear about words up apps ? Do you think that is an helpful app to improve English vocabulary or you advise using WR dictionary to improve English vocabulary. Thanks for your time☺ Laurent from France ☺
Iron [a ɪ ə n] used to be shocking for me. Recently I was shocked of U.S. transcription of this word - [a ɪ r n]. This all means: "o" is silent. So in British English "rn" transofms to [ə n]... P.S. There is a Caucasian region in Russia called North Ossetia. In Ossetian language word "Ossetian" spells like "ирон" [i ˈr ɔ n] (Cyrillic letters of "iron")
Hello Emma, I have been misprouncing some of the words you mentioned in yhis video. So I find it useful. In fact, I have subscribed your channel for quite a while and keep watching videos you have posted because they sre sll useful. Pls. keep up your good work! Blessings from H.K
