Very underrated ost. Tekken 2 was the last Tekken with industrial, new age and majestic music.
Harada doesn't care about legacy tekken
Tekken started with absolutely amazing soundtracks and not so good graphics. As the series progressed the characters and stage designs became absolutely gorgeous at the expense of the music.

Arguably one of the grittiest soundtracks to ever grace a fighter. Nothing will ever live up to that bass sample.
I didn't know that the TEKKEN series would later become very popular all over the world.

Most of the tracks here are used in the PlayStation version when the BGM is set to Original. Even the pitch is lowered like in the PlayStation version.
I think they sound better when they are lower-pitched but yeah, some arcade footage have the music pitch different.

I never had to actually play Tekken 1, but I am very familiar with this godly OST through Tekken 4 - most of songs were included in "Statue" arena
The Monument Valley theme sounds kind of different without the wind track, for some reason.
Just like the Chicago theme without "1, 2, 3, 4".

Tekken 1 and 2 infinite awesome and Tekken 3 was fine.

Whenever I play the first three Tekken games I always use the arcade soundtrack over the remix soundtrack for the simple reason because the arcade original soundtrack is better the remix soundtrack is not very good
I wish the developers gave more informations about pitch differences, if judging by sequels it is what the original pitch is supposed to be, it's definitely more in line with a4=440 Hertz which is litterally the cursor sound. But then why the actual arcade version sounds like it's subject to PAL speedup?
Who knows? Probably a tech error from their ends. But I do know this, the developers probably couldn't remembered what happened to the sounds because it was in production around late '93 - early '94 and technology was different back in the days. I'd imagine if they had floppy disks and source codes to go back and check the files. With today's technology, I'd figure if they were to explain the pitch differences of the sounds and music. 🤷🏾♂️ But break a bone and just say, "fuck it"...
Honestly, this was a... pretty bad sountrack. Tekken 3, 4, etc. had much better songs. This sounds like experimental mashed potatoes. Nostalgia can't fix everything.
