Ok thats it. My opinion is final. Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha has the best soundtrack of video game history. If you are even just a remotely experienced instrument player and connoisseur of a wide range of music and soundtracks you will come to the same conclusion if you listen to the soundtrack repeatedly with high quality headphones especially !!!

I don't care what anyone says EX Plus Alpha was a GREAT SF game man, i absolutely loved this game as a kid, the fun gameplay, the outstanding music, the cool new characters, it was just so good man. Absolutely one of my favorite SF games of all time, i still go back and play it every so often. I got this along with Soul Blade for the PS1 for Christmas back in like 1998 and i played this more, Soul Blade was good but this game was something special man. Super underrated.
I just pulled it out too man ! Playing it on my old PS2. I discovered I lost all the saves from this game on my memory card. Looks like I'm starting over !! 🙂❤
Oh, it was the shit. You could knew from early childhood the music was a banger, the ARIKA characters were fucking cool, the atmosphere was surreal as hell and the Super Cancel mechanic is completely underrated. The EX saga spin off is what got me into Street Fighter. I will adore this trilogy for my entire life ❤
Character models are much better than "official" SF 3D based games in my opinion. Plus, the combo system was very good, but needed perfect precision, which could be frustrating at some point and ruined the Dualshock(2). Especially the charge characters. But overall, this is one of the best SF games ever created. Yes, the stage designs aren´t too great, but the musical quality equilizes it. I like this game also more than the succesors EX plus Alpha 2 and 3. Life bars, graphical effort was best in EX plus Alpha 1. Plus, the arcade in EX 3 sucks a lot! Medal system, too. Arika/Capcom should have kept the quality of the first game!
yeah, even as far back as 80s, most games that were of any note, had official soundtracks released. Hell my first game soundtrack i bought was on cassette. Japan does a good job at collecting things

Precious Heart, Spinning Bird and Guardain of Light are awesome, but Strange Sunset is stunning!

Don't forget Sakura Mankai. The most nostalgic in my opinion. It also fit the stage so well.

Look up Fighting EX Layer soundtrack. It has all of the Street Fighter EX series and Fighting Layer music, including EX+@ with some surprises.
This arranged OST has most of best songs in video games ever, Ryu, Ken, Hokuto-Kairi, Allen-Guile, Dhalsim and Zangief are just awesome tracks.
Spinning Bird, Precious Heart and Strange Sunset are all great, but I think my favorite song from SF EX will always be Amusementive Crime.
Tracks 5, 7, 8 and 12 are masterpieces.
