I’m gonna put it out there, I think RVP might be the cleanest striker of a football I’ve ever seen. Sure there are others that have more power (R. Carlos etc) but for pure ball striking technique I think he’s the best. You can notice that although a lot of his strikes fly at great speed he doesn’t over do it with trying to hit the ball he concentrates solely on the connection, the timing and the accuracy. Unreal player

Those last 3 goals are insane, especially number 1. To get yourself in the air like that and bend your body sideways to hit the ball in that position is something we will probably never see again.

That goal vs everton is the most insane, unforgettable goal I've ever seen. The inch perfect assist from Rooney from way outside the midfield line and then the most perfect volley you'll ever see. Receiving the ball from behind, an almost impossible angle. Almost. And he smashes it with mathematical precision. Pythagoras himself would have been speechless. A work of art. They should preserve this in a museum somewhere and make it the 8th wonder of the world.

i’m sorry but for me number one is miles better... the technique required for the second could be pulled off by a premier league striker 1 or 2 times in ten, the first one could only be pulled off by a world class striker

How is it possible to be that coordinated, that quick, have reflexes that fast?
It's so amazing. Look at his whole body just before he strikes the ball, the position of his hands. Everything in sync👌. It's like for a moment his mind forgets about everything but the flight of the ball and his left foot.
First touch strikes are difficult for strikers, and defenders to defend against and goalkeepers to catch them. Those strikers who had the technique for it; are always the best strikers and most succesfull ! The king of volleys is RVP, he made himself fly with the ball; even made his hands looks like wings !
