What you said at 18:28! I was a struggling musician who had a background in classical. I started studying jazz so I could play songs like this, which were completely over my head. Thanks for showing us how beautifully complex and striking these songs are. I hope we never forget them.
Yes, when Ricky Grundy asked me to create a Bass line for this song Call him up in the Key of Eb which is not a good key for a 4 string Fender P Bass player in 1980's when most dead churches were hot inside and full of dead folks falling asleep. Whatever key we created the song in it had to have a Holy Driving force "The Holy Ghost" and a powerful sound to shake up God's musicians all over the world and bring kids and Young people back to church thru a new sound in Gospel Music it worked. Thank you Terry L. Green Gospel Bass player 1980 Recording.
Thank you for commenting on this video. I was among the first church musician in my era to learn this song like the album and today still hold it a game changer in waking up a congregation.
4:21... This intro reminds me of "Couldn't Keep it to Myself"- GWMA Choir War on Sin (I think...)^^ This is dope man, THIS is the gospel I know and am embedded in! This is the same group that did "No Greater Love", I always loved that bridge (.. God's loooove, protects me from the stoooooorm, keeps me safe from haaarm)...at least that's what I thought they are sayin!" These are gems, and u play them, original! I mean, I know u got ur flavor, but I like how u pay homage and do the original at least a few times, especially in beginning, and then put ur taste on it, LOVE IT!!^^ \O>
Hello Mr. Sam! it's been a long time; i been in the hospital fighting a bought with cancer, but God has been faithful. hopefully I'll be able to get back in full swing soon. If you get a chance, will you play Great is thy faithfulness? because God has truly been faithful to me.
Thank you so much! I was wondering could you also do this song : Rev Clay Evans All of my Help? ruclips.net/video/2OqjeN4TC2w/видео.html this two are confounding for me
