If they turn "One Minute to Choose" into a series, they should let viewers vote in community polls for each round. Then they can announce the winners at the beginning of each new episode.

What a lot of people don't realize about the NSX is that the original one really didn't sell all that well when it was new. It got good (even great) reviews, but buyers saw it as an expensive oddity from a Japanese carmaker. It wasn't until much later that it became the icon that it is today. I expect the new NSX will follow much the same pattern. Doug's right, it's an incredible car.
@@AmosDohms Everything is relative. The old NSX was considered a bit boring (V6 and not an 8 or 12, only 270hp) and to have an ungainly design. Even today, the F355 is a faster & much more exciting car. The original NSX is prized because it's Honda-reliable but still fun, not because it's the best mid-engine sports/super car. I'm very confident that as we move into more electric cars that the new NSX will be viewed in much the same way.
@IanHobday I completely agree with you on the old NSX, the F355 is still the faster and more exotic machine, but much less reliable. Hard to pick between the two in styling though! Regarding the new car, I feel that it is somewhat underrated, but not massively so, and I don't see anything that sets it apart from the competition of its day, other then an inferior powerplant. If it's massively more reliable, perhaps that's an angle, but it's not the 90's anymore, and the Italians are considerably more reliable then they used to be. I see it as an interesting Japanese alternative to the Huracan/R8, 458/488, and 570S, and I think there's some reasons to like it among that crowd, but only if it's cheaper then the Italians. The V6/hybrid just isn't as compelling as the V8s, ditto the V10s. Do you feel that's fair, or does it deserve more praise?
@@AmosDohms I'd say what you're saying about the new NSX is much what people said about the old NSX. Only time will tell how well it ages, but I really do expect it to follow a similar trajectory to the original.
Here's the correct winners of each round: Fillipo Volvo V70R , Kennan Camel trophy defender, Doug and Kennan Renault Sport Spider, Doug Acura NSX, Fillipo Nautitruck Which ends with each player with 2 points in a dead tie.
This was the best game yet by far! You all could make this a monthly or quarterly game in the current format and I believe you'd have a hit on your hands.
Honestly this video is a little frustrating, because it reflects how much room for improvement their is in Cars & Bids filtering for past auctions! Instead of going "Hmmm 90s 4x4s, wasn't there a Defender that was cool ..." how much better would it be to put in year range = 1990-1999, drive type = 4wd, body type = SUV, sort by price descending. Was honestly wondering if you guys had pulled up your internal Metabase or something like that to find candidates
I know you guys wont do this but here are some awesome ideas for (some) of your future "challenge" videos: - do them live, on youtube, or wherever, and have viewers tune in and vote for who's pick is the best (maybe on discord with a bot or use twitter to quickly tally up the votes) - there should be a prize so you guys actually try to win. something that all of you would actually care about. (maybe the winner chooses a playlist the losers have to listen to on repeat for a day or something) - doesnt have to be live. can have a post-video voting form up as well but we definitely need some way to choose an actual winner instead of having you guys vote on yourselves :)
I'm all in for not fully thinking through these games. The pursuant arguments/insults may cause intra-office tension, but I, the viewer, am worth it! Oh, and 1-0 to Filippo for smashing The Great Dougini with the supercar roast.

12:30 wrong on both counts. The Model S is a lot more practical than the Cayenne and more fun to drive. The Cayenne will be better finished, but a nightmare to maintain though.
If you do this format again and want to have a "winner", you can have each of them have to choose one of the others' choices. To avoid "king making" you can have this done blind.
Doug picking the NSX is just a natural progression as he's become wealthier. He might be right about value, but I think he's losing touch with the common man a little bit.

Kennan's 'photographic memory' is just pictures of E39 parts.
🤣🤣🤣
Hahaahahahabahaahahababaababahabaab
Broken E39 parts
That was pretty slick of Fillipo to choose the Mercedes G Cab for the 90's 4x4. He knew that would make Doug concede that he choose the best one.
