As a DJ we get our spotlight from battles, mix tapes, as you mentioned conferences, clubs, parties etc., and if we are privileged to travel with a group, then at times they may give us a few minutes during their show in the spotlight.
Well im also a Old Skool Skater myself I started at 12 yrs old back in 1985 self taught myself from a beginner to a advance Skater from then on well for me I think it's great to see the new generation skate a new style im really impressed with how the evolution of skating evolved I might even just for old times sake put back on my 4 wheeler old Skool Black leather skins skates that I have!!! Lol😂

Go head ya’ll! I’m loving the footwork! I would love to see roller skating legitimized as a professional sport & ;like ice skating; become a part of the Olympics lineup. It takes a lot of skill, dexterity, strength, balance, athleticism & finesse to skate like this. That should be recognized worldwide.
They are working on it. People don't realize that artistic skating is a sport. I see them at the rink all the time and a few of them will give you that work!
This makes me want to go skate so bad. I love skating with a passion and I miss doing it (currently in the navy). Skating just makes me so happy every time you hop up on that skate floor you almost completely forget about all the troubles in life and just unleash my inter creativity. Skating is the way I choose to Express myself. Chicago has some of the best skaters I've ever seen! It's an 3 hr drive but it's worth it honestly, everytime I go there I step up my game and have a blast doing so. I look forward to skating with the quad city Cuttaz when I get home for the holidays!

Just keep practicing, learning and asking question. There are also good videos on RUclips for beginners. What a lot of people don't realize is it doesn't take long to get to that level. You have to be willing to put in the time and the work.

i remember seeing people skate like this at the rink when i was a kid. mom used to take me every thursday night and i loved it but the skates hurt my feet so bad because they didn't have wide sizes back then so i either had to go reg width or too long and the too long ones made me fall but i still enjoyed myself until the pain got so bad i had to leave. still happy memories and this brought it back. i was never able to do tricks bcz of the pain but still enjoyed watching others skate like this!

I been skating since I was 11 years old My aunt brought me pair for my birthday. Ever since then I love it. I roller skating when I was pregnant with my first son and I was dancing I did not fall either. This actually help me to lose weight.

I'm 72 and i'm with you. Wasnt this a fun surprise? Back in the 60's we thought the rexxers in SoCal were the coolest skaters. they still are to me(a lot of old dudes still spot rexing) , but these guys are athletes. Just getting back into a little skating with my grands, and there don't seem to be many hip skaters in the Oly area. They are all dazzled to see gramps hittin it a lick on the floor, backwards! LOL But these skaters are amazing!!!
