Albion got many updates, here is a list of things that changed something about your con list: Servers improved but still high ping in Asia. Not impossible to play competitive tho Solo randomised dungeons now close after 90s of someone entering the dungeon, it refreshes each time someone enters. Combat is in depth, you just need a lot of experience to realise it. Daily maintenace sucks for Asia players since it is in the evening. For EU it's around noon and for Americans it's in the night. Cluster **** of players is solved by "region overcrowded" message wich makes no other players load Recently they added 1v1 dungeons wich make it easier for solo players to play the game. Also roads of avalon give more options for small groups.
lol I was just telling my roommate that I'm on the verge of getting PTSD from hearing this sentence over and over again every single time he hits something/anything...
i played it for a few months back in 2019, really fun game. my friends just aren't mmorpg players and finding a guild with the same humor and people was pretty hard. overall i think the community is pretty nice in my experience and a lot of nice and welcoming people. maybe i'll get back to the game some day...
Hey Peon, just wanted to say thank you for giving us your great content during this world-wide quarantine. You always make my day when I see your video uploaded. Hope you stay safe and thanks for all you do, man.
As a longtime Albion played I can tell that I totally understand your issues and where you are struggling. Back when I personally started there was no info on anything and it was a huge adventure to explore all this. What you couldn't show here which I understand ist the territory battles through ZvZ (Zerg vs Zerg) they are in my opinion what makes the endgame. You have up to 350 players fighting in a single zone over objectives. Been playing in my current guild for 1.5 years and every day when we go out to fight it is a new experience. Really recommend the game to everyone, but try to play it together, as you said it is not too focused towards solo players at the moment but as a single player in a guild you can make a huge difference.
Something like, played like 5 hours two years ago, got back into it last year for another 5 hours, then two months ago got the other 3 hours and decided to do this video? Not that hard to grasp.
I myself enjoy playing RPG games and this game is currently my favourite game. Even though the graphics aren't outstanding but it is a non-p2w game and it has high quality system. I tried this game when i see the ads, it was pretty hard to play but very fair and enjoyable. I don't care how long or often the server maintenance happens but atleast there are no issues like network connection, damage bugs,... Unlike any kind of RPG games like WoW, Order and Chaos series that were dead, the developers literally broke them.
Improvements made since this video: -1v1 corrupted dungeons for more content for solo players. -“Region Overcrowded” feature for regions with more than 400 players -Roads of Avalon for small group content -Solo dungeons close in 90 seconds of the last person entering -Faction warfare is not full-loot in open world(doesn’t apply to red zones)(solo can participate) -Combat is actually in depth(realize throughout playing the game) Hope this helps for anyone who wants to play. (Asia server ping still sucks, it is still playable tho - but u can use GeForce Now if u really want to play competitively) (Maintenance starts at 10UTC and can last from 20min - 1h, usually 30 min or so)
I tried to be a solo player , I went in many fights and I was able to 1 vs 3 easy with my build in black zones . But teams consist most of the times in 8-15 players , witch is imposible to counter , and that way I lost some good items then uninstall. This video made me wanna go back and play the game ;)

@Boop Loop I do this as well usually. I can't stand the people that keep throwing themselves into danger and you're panicking to heal them... only for them to eventually succumb to their own idiocy but then blame you for not healing and such... like I did literally everything I possibly could to keep you alive, and now you're going to see just how much I do for you... People always seem to take healers for granted and act like their job isn't important since it's not damage. Without the healers you wouldn't last through like 90% of the things you do... It'd be like saying Doctors irl don't do much and we'd be fine without them.
The dungeon disappears after a short time after being cleared. The other player was probably doing it while you were there but he was too far. Also it is available so people have the opportunity to gank.
This is the best review on Albion i have seen yet, very nicely done. I also want to give big big big props to Doom for showing you full loot pvp and hellgates, bug ups to him! A few points tho : 1. You can absolutely play this game solo and have the same or even more replay ability as players who play in big guilds. The issue with Solo/small group play is that it requires overall a lot more skill and game knowledge and thus is harder to get into. 2. Last patch added 20 man raids with very challenging and interesting mechanics (so not in the next patch). 3. Dungeons that have been cleared, disappear after 15 minutes. This mechanic is in place so Dungeon divers have a harder time killing players while they fame farm. The main issue with reviewing Albion is that just like Classic wow you need hundreds upon hundreds of hours to really experience the game and its content. I think you did a very good job on this review. Best regards, PARRY MACHINE Wolfo70
When I first started Albion you could buy a few donkeys in the starting zone for and then sell them on the market for more. For anyone who might start playing. For a free to play MMO its pretty good imo. If you like grinding and PVP you should give it a try.
The game, when I left it, was centered around keeping your PREMIUM status up. If you had no premium, you leveled super slow and your progressions was generally painful and extremely grindy, hell it's grindy even with premium. It wasn't cheap, so you'd have to be very active in the game (and play only to earn that money) to be able to buy it. Made things unpleasant.

Holy cow was literally wondering if Albion online was worth it in 2020 this morning while waiting for ESO: Greymoor in June and Amazon's New World on May 26th. In the mean time I might check out Albion Online.
It's nothing like RuneScape, it looks similar but it really isn't. The game play is more like a MOBA, there is huge depth to this game and you can access all content without spending a cent. Joining a PvP guild is more like joining a mafia, it is so much fun. But you will have to learn not to get attached to any gear you own as you will lose everything in your inventory when you die, but gearing up is easy, I usually have at least 5 copies of my gear in my bank. Also ganking is a major part of this game, so if you don't like getting ganked, this game isn't for you.
@@australienski6687 well, getting ganked by players who are way above you when you just wanna do a quest and level up is not fun. I don't think anyone likes it and if you are not on top tier guilds well too bad, you are at the mercy of other players. Forget trying to have fun, you play the game with the intense and unsatisfying mood on the knowledge that someone is gonna gank you and lose all your gears.

TheLazyPeon giving the best review of Albion by a MMO focused RUclipsr unlike a lot of others you actually went in deeper that the tutorial and past tier 4 fair pros and cons. One mistake the raid content is in now, with the next update focusing on small group/solo play with the Mists of Albion. Hopefully the link up with Lewpac comes off and we get you in a serious ZvZ and into a raid dungeon. As always
I played a bunch of this a while ago, veterans have a massive stranglehold on everything, economy is massively inflated by both veterans and gold/silver sellers making it very hard to get into it. Like Peon said, just skip it if you plan on soloing, it's just not fun. Like with almost every full loot PvP game there are people/gankers hunting noobs trying to level some harvesting skills, a whole a lot of scams going about (like potato guilds). Premium purchase is a must if you want to enjoy it somewhat but even that is a subscription. Rifts could have been neat, but 90% of the time they are already empty, just close the damn rift, why do they still show up? Also the servers are pretty garbage, daily maintenance and pretty high ping. And finally an ungodly amount of grind after Tier 4 or so, which was the killing blow for me. Combat is simple yet satisfying, the leveling and skill "tree" is nice and finally dungeons are surprisingly good. They lost a lot of goodwill by going back on their word after they got crowdfunded and released the game as a B2P only to go back again and releasing it as F2P because no one was playing it.
Definitely got excited thinking that this was a online mmo from the fable games! But looks like Albion online has nothing to do with Albion from fable :(
The always pvp in higher level areas is the turn off for me. People who wanted a chill crafting game and a pve experience has no place in this game. I mean frank I don’t mind pvp but I do mind losing all my stuff on death. Especially if I’m working toward end game crafting.
23:04 There's already a 20 player raid dungeon from the current big update (the Queen update). 1000 - 1100 item power recommended per player. I recorded a full run and it took me around 3 hours to run to the dungeon location, do the raid and go back to town.
I have been there since the alpha, I bought the game’s 100 dollars pack many years ago and I’m loving what they are doing with the game, I’ve always played solo and now is easier than ever, also they finally added the cosmetic system i desired since I got the game and bought myself a 30 million silver cosmetic set.
I feels like Albion is the best full loot pvp game right now, they are making a lot of updates, with huge contents. 2020 they have a great roadmap thats gonna be awesome too. I did start in the beta, there has been so much updates since back then! Some don't like it, but I feel it's a great game right now, and now are they gonna focus on the server performance too.

Albion Online: People jumping in at day 1: 95% of the wealth of all players due to inflation. People jumping in the game now: fun in the first few tiers. Later tiers turn to tears as they either are taxbots for guilds or farmed by zergs. Also: Have fun doing PVP when you are not located in the US, as your ping will always be 100 to 200 higher than that of your oponents. I'd recommend staying away from this one. You sink in some hours, thinking it could be cool. Then the immensive grind kicks in. Then there is more grind. While getting farmed.
@@MrMvoort Shut up, it's true. It might be kinda fun if you're in America i guess, but if you're in Europe or something, you won't even be able to play
so the reason they leave the dungeons open for a while after they are entered is to let other people enter them and possibly kill you, its called dungeon diving and its quite popular. so even in save zones where faction flagged can people do dungeons they leave them to add a bit of risk nice video btw like your content :)
The second Con is actually a feature that there is a chance for another NEW random dungeon to spawn on top of the one you just cleared, so you go in and complete another dungeon w/o having to look for another one.

Also, please, stop liking your own comments.
@Boop Loop but I'm sorry I that myself as well as 85% of the population that plays that game thinks the game is absolute dog shit. My only argument is the pvp. I haven't even gotten into how a whole fucking world is owned by a single player, who has bought all the stores and taxed them to a 100% rate. P.s cant use a mount to run away because there are literally builds that instantly knock you off your tame 😂.

The game has 9 thousand concurrent players on Steam as of currently. The global pandemic has inflated the numbers significantly as well. It's not really "big" by any means.

Also even if it had only 9k concurrent users its actually quite a big and alive for an mmo, since it's only 1 server for everyone,
People only play this because this game preys on people who get easily addicted... The gameplay loop is nothing but grind, to be able to grind over there... no thanks!!!
Albion got many updates, here is a list of things that changed something about your con list:
Servers improved but still high ping in Asia. Not impossible to play competitive tho
Solo randomised dungeons now close after 90s of someone entering the dungeon, it refreshes each time someone enters.
Combat is in depth, you just need a lot of experience to realise it.
Daily maintenace sucks for Asia players since it is in the evening. For EU it's around noon and for Americans it's in the night.
Cluster **** of players is solved by "region overcrowded" message wich makes no other players load
Recently they added 1v1 dungeons wich make it easier for solo players to play the game. Also roads of avalon give more options for small groups.
It's really hard to play this game in asia

OWA - Over Walls and Angels calm down
I myself enjoy playing RPG games and this game is currently my favourite game.
Improvements made since this video:
-1v1 corrupted dungeons for more content for solo players.
-“Region Overcrowded” feature for regions with more than 400 players
-Roads of Avalon for small group content
-Solo dungeons close in 90 seconds of the last person entering
-Faction warfare is not full-loot in open world(doesn’t apply to red zones)(solo can participate)
-Combat is actually in depth(realize throughout playing the game)
Hope this helps for anyone who wants to play.

@@garomaster I mean.. it's a toggle that turns passive. So it's not really active.

A few points tho :

Game looks really fun. Like a mix of POE and RuneScape. Before watching this I always thought the game was some auto-play mobile mmo. Really surprised
The only thing Poe about that is a camera angle. What an insult to p o e LMAO.
@@Claude-Vanlalhruaia There's no questing in this game, it is also easy to escape or avoid getting ganked if you learn how.

Hopefully the link up with Lewpac comes off and we get you in a serious ZvZ and into a raid dungeon. As always
Always look forward to your videos :D
Losing your gear isnt a big deal tbh, you got like 10 more sets in your vault or you can craft some verry fast.
If you mind the pvp part, don't play this game. This is a pvp game and you'll die a lot
@Boop Loop doing pve for the sake of doing pve is bad design, nobody care about expeditions because the rewards are meh

Albion Online:
People jumping in at day 1: 95% of the wealth of all players due to inflation.
People jumping in the game now: fun in the first few tiers. Later tiers turn to tears as they either are taxbots for guilds or farmed by zergs.
Also: Have fun doing PVP when you are not located in the US, as your ping will always be 100 to 200 higher than that of your oponents.
