I think Reyna was signed as cover for MGW primarily, and because he can play across the front line, he is a good option for Nuno to look at. But Elanga and CHO (especially when Tavares has played LB) have been in good form, and MGW has stayed fit, and been very influential. So for me, nothing against Reyna, but he has to earn his place by being better than the others, and it just hasn’t happened yet. If he was blowing someone away in training, Nuno would play him, but are we really upset if Nuno is sticking with MGW, CHO and Elanga? The only odd thing is for Reyna not to come on at Luton when MGW was subbed, but I think that’s got more to do with the (bad) decision to try and shut up shop and take the 1-0 win. Reyna will play when he earns a spot, not before. Ribeiro is a project signing for the future, so less concerned about him, but perhaps if Wood and Taiwo are both injured, he’ll get his shot as a sub behind Origi?

Reyna was signed without consulting Nuno and he is not going to play him because of that. Nuno is trying to do a power play with ownership.

I called that Riberio would literally get zero minutes, seen these kind of transfers before, he is for the future. I am a little stunned by Reyna not getting any playing time, i guess Nuno was not behind that loan transfer at all. But just like under Cooper when we had even more players, everyone can't play, we can't give a player "a run of games", players will be frozen out if you have a too big of a squad. It's just math
