    Need a cover for your Beautiful Lamd Cruiser? Well I got you covered!
    Comes in Black or Grey and is 140 shipped.
    Covers for: FJ40, FJ60, FJ80 etc...
    Just shoot me a message at
    cruisingtheland@gmail.com
    And Roof Racks, Drawers, Air Compressors, etc...
    In this video I take you along my Manual Transmission swap.
    First off, being a Land Cruiser Freak, I was surprised to find out you can get a BRAND NEW, Toyota OEM H55F transmission which has been manufactures for a couple decades now.
    Yes, that's righr brand new! And Transfer case too..Built by Toyota.
    Reason being is, these older Toyotas last forever, and they are world wide, and that transmissuon is perfection itself!
    So, what got.me started to do this transmission swap, is the fact that me A440F was failing, slupping amd not engaging 4th or overdrive.
    It would oveeheat, and it was time. I even tried the Rodney flush..I suppose if you are at the point of considering a Rodney Flush, then you are at the end of that trans.
    Even though my Land Cruiser got a Nee Trans, it still identifies as a Land Cruiser.
    So I felt, why spend thousands on another automatic transmission and get the same vehicle back, when I can get an upgraded better vehicle and new excitement to drive it!
    So I contactes my Friend Cesar at Ce
    ruiserTech and Georg at Cruiser Brothers and the Project got started.
    Couldn't have done it without their know-how and resources for extra parts the project required.
    Let mw know if you want to get un toych with them, and I will put you in touch.
    I must say, best decision I could have made on the Menace (HJ61 JDM Diesel Land Cruiser)

    I say the same thing!! My truck is 36 yr old truck.. slow does it.. I know I will get there.. love your truck!
    Btw, I did the same swap on my FJ62 and the manual is much smoother and seems faster than with the A440 transmission.

    I used shift left handed when I was 12 years old (I thought the pattern was the same for RHD cars w/ 1st next to your left leg) riding in my Dad’s 1988 Nissan Hardbody.

    • @CruisingTheLand
      @CruisingTheLand  16 дней назад +1

      The pattern is not a mirror image, its actually as if you were sitting in the right passenger seat of a LHD and doing the shifing for the driver with a cast on their arm...

    What wheel and tire combo/size do u have on the truck? Did u have to re-gear?

    • @CruisingTheLand
      @CruisingTheLand  Месяц назад +1

      No re gearing needed, as they are 33s on 17" wheels.

    What are the make and model wheels you have there? I want to put a pair on my FZJ80. I drained my torque converter and transmission, removed the transmission pan and cleaned out the muck from the transmission pan, wiped the inner transmission surfaces clean then resealed the pan. Only then did I refill the transmission. Never had any transmission problems since. That was 9 years ago.

      Where are you located? can you show me?
      Keep in mind, this was a RHD swap, so many parts difficult to locate in the US. I install Sliders, rear and feint bumpers, light wiring, etc... and basic maintenance, but I am not an exprimental mechanic on the tougher stuff..

      @CruisingTheLand sorry, I didn't mean to throw any shade at you. I'm also located in california as well. You're right though, it does take time to source and collect all the parts and pieces to make it all work. For me, it was the route I'm willing to take to attain my dream truck, so I know it'll be all worth it at the end. Love that yours is a diesel, it looks mint 👌
