- The first spring-wound coin-operated Edison cylinder phonograph, based on the Edison Home Phonograph. The recording demonstrated in the video is a brown wax record that was dubbed from a digital file on archive.org onto an original Edison blank from the 1890s. The exact copy was made by the Victrolaguy (thevictrolaguy@gmail.com) using his proprietary recording technology. It is a perfect copy of a very rare record that I can enjoy without worrying about wear or damage.
WOW! & FLUTTER! ALL IN One amazing piece of history. Great restoration work. Thanks

Love these coin operated machines!
WOW that is COOL!
These machines have so much Wow and flutter as they are seldom played. I have found that to get good performance on wind-up phonographs they need to be played regularly.
my nickels on a pay day instead.
4:40 I hear NEIN half the time in that sentence.
Has anyone ever told you, you sound like Nicholas Cage. They were selling the BS immature of me but I found that part most humours.
0:42 They were selling the *BS* phonograph at a mere $20.00.
You would think a commercial machine would be much better built and use a better cylinder yielding better performance. There is no reason the cylinder couldn't be 3 times the size. The only down side would be having to re-record a new master at the bigger size.
An early 3 song jukebox?
