Had an arty focus me the whole game few weeks back, I ended up alone vs it, so I just kept it tracked and kept ramming it gently untill the player rage quit, very satisfying

It's what a balanced tier 10 heavy should be, fast in a straight line but only really downhill, sluggish on the turn, good gun for trading but derpy for snaps and range, great turret armour but can't use every position because of gun depression, enough hull armour to troll and bully lower tiers and a good slap of HP. A tank good for brawling but not all round good and with weaknesses. Trouble is so many tier 10 heavies are just much better. Others need bringing down to it's sort of level than raising others up, which would give the mediums more room to breather IMO.
Some tier 9 heavies like conqueror and amx 51 are already better than is7 imho, not even talking about concept 1b or tier10 heavies
Still got not enough DPM or pen .
I like play IS7 but it's a nightmare to play sometimes .

My issue with the IS-7 is the ammo capacity. 30 shells just isnt enough when you account for potato aim, RNG and just not penning. Also Daki these style videos are 10/10. Can you do a JgpzE100 video sometime :)

You're right, it happened me too a few days ago, I found an ally vz55 (I was in 277) on Siegfried line and we managed to perfectly alternate each other, very satisfying. Also would love to see you play the fv215b heavy. Love your vids as always

Thanks for the vid, Daki. The IS-7 still holds a place with me, maybe because of nostalgia or maybe because of the challenge in current meta. I do wish they’d give it proper Russian HEAT.
I dont use a rammer on my IS7. I use HP, turbo, track thingy. What I like to do is go to light tank positions (you go 60+ in this bad boy with this setup) and just ram the shit out of everyone. Makes me feel strong.
Daki chef, will you do a video on the T95 at some point? Would love to know your opinion and some tips for the tank, also I think it would be a very nice addition cause you already made a vid on the Tortoise and most other American tier 9 heavies.

i hate the IS7 too, i hate its magical armor. in the old days where team damage is possible, i once shot my own IS7 with JPE100 at the rear turret, and it bounced. it was the start of the game, i was in the JPE100 driving behind friendly IS7, my hand slipped and i fired my gun when it was pointing straight at the IS7 rear turret, and it bounced.
i also hate that magic space bar on the side, the chance to pen the IS7 from the side with another IS7 is 99.5%, once you lower it a bit to the magic BS, the chance to pen goes down to
57% to 7x%. and with a little big of angling, the side space magic goes to auto bounce.
i hate the no weakspot turret too.
but now there are many more OP tanks, IS7 is not the hardest thing to deal with anymore, but it is the trollnesss of it that is annoying, it just saves the driver for no reason and is very noob friendly.

I support going for G.W. E100 arty player, every time. That was very satisfying. Yes i think iS-7 should get 340-350 mm ApCR pen, and a little better RNG, that would kinda make it a unique gun on a unique tank.
How about just reducing the dispersion values by 25% and keeping the tank as is. Not everything needs to have great gold penetration.
@@vojtechralis6075 I would also like to see the AP pen increase on iS-7, not just APCR, many tier 9 has better AP pen. For instance Conqueror has 259/326, T-10 and
M103 has 258/340, amx 50/120 257/325, amx m4-51 257/315, wz 111 1/4 244/340 and the list goes on.
Only three tier 9 heavy on par with iS-7 penetration is 50 TP/EmiL 2/prog 66, and the only worse is Type 4. In tier 9 !!!
HEAT guns also keep their pen over distance, while APCR drops, so iS-7 basically has a tier 9 gun. It would also be nice to hit something,
while chinese tier 9s can HEAT pen iS-7 from 500 meter in some bushes. I think 265/325 or 265/330 would be a good starting point.
I admire you for only wanting better gun stats, bud sadly WG has made a game that doesnt reward aiming.
@@Anders357 Or the alpha damage buff, all the new heavies with 130mm canon added recently have around 530-560 dmg and great dpm while is-7 still has 490 and shitty dpm.
I saw a T49 use that position on Tundra. He did pretty well but ended up sliding off and killing himself.
I love the is7. My best heavy performer. Gun is annoying, sure, but when the armour works it's hilarious 😊. I got 7.5k blocked damage a few days ago.

I can even work with low pen (which is annoying, true) if I could connect shots more reliably. Surprisingly however, I've just checked, I have almost 71% hit ratio, strange. Ok, WG just give me better gun handling on IS-7. GG bro!

what's the mod to show damage standing for moe?
For the is7 i run setups. I run 1 with grousers, turbo and vents with the second being turbo, vents and rammer. It helps me average 2k damage per game .
drop the vents for something more relevant as hardening
@Oscar Ovegren i chose vents for the better crew skills. Helps significantly in the is7 for track repair speed and getting up to top speed.
@@HD7970 vents hasn't a significant impact on any tank at all. Its like a 2,5% boost to several stats. Barely noticeable. Hardening is really strong tho
@Oscar Ovegren i do it mostly for the repair speed. Half a second on repairs is the difference between taking a shot and getting angled in time to bounce said shot. I tried it without vents but the tank just doesnt feel the same without. Feels like my shots arent as consistent.

Is7 has only 1 role in the game, to speed build and ram teir 10 meds for their entire hp pool
the is10 is the most stealthy tank no one has even seen it
IS7 becomes faster than most medium tanks when it runs grousers and turbo and has 2.8k hp with hardening. It's also a devastating rammer with the speed build. Play it like a pre-nerf bobject with a turret, like iyouxin does.
Don't even need grousers. Removed speed governor and turbo is enough to get 20+ hp/t then use the mod to maintain speed. Instead of grousers equip spall liner to ram and helps with arty nuisances.
@@ShapeshifterOS Grousers makes it turn much faster and maintain speed while turning. You will maintain high speeds a lot more of the time and have a much better hit rate with your rams if you run grousers trust me.
And you dont need a spall liner to win a ram against 90% of tanks with the IS7. It's heavy as fuck and armored as fuck
@@toby1248 Spall liner gives that chance to 1 shot some tanks though. So far I've had no problem hitting rams. Extra weight behind the rams never hurts.
@@ShapeshifterOS the IS7 weighs 70 tons. The spall liner makes virtually no difference. Everything you gain in weight you lose in speed
If you're hitting all your rams you're clearly not going for aggressive enough attempts. Try doing it in an E50M or AMX50B, see how much real agility can get you, then come back to the IS7 to go for the oneshot memes

Hi I'm a novice player, and I bought this tank last month. However, all my friends make fun of me, claiming that the IS-7 is outdated and a weak tank. Because so many people say this, I feel disappointed in the IS-7. Can you tell me if the IS-7 is still reliable?

Several tanks in the game are neglected or quietly nerfed, (but not de-monetized) when WG showcases vehicle offers they want to sell players. I've tried to justify playing the IS-7 but you're right - it's not what it should be in the game.
