i love this recipie but i used hershey kisses instead because i was goin to bring them into school for my friends but we cant cause some people are allergic and dont like alot of peanut buttert so i used hershey kisses
I make these cookies all the time and I did not know that you need to roll them in sugar , my mom just told me that in the original recipe you need to do that . I LOVE these cookies !!!
dear sparlklingshannon.. i have raised three boys who are all now in there 20's and 30's they still rave and love my baking.. and i have always scooped my flour right out of the bag and used the side of the bag for levelling. but i do admit for some recipes i 'level' how i was taught in home economics. and that was a LONG time ago... lol ... hope you're having a fabulous day and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Jen, your cookies look delightful & delicious! When I make Peanut Butter cookies (without the PB cups/Kisses), I always roll them in sugar before doing the "criss-cross fork press". I love the added texture & bit of glisten the sugar adds. I don't know why I haven't rolled them in sugar for the PB cups/Kisses variety before! Thanks for sharing one of your family favorites with us. Your instruction & explanation are wonderful. BTW, I love my Pampered Chef Measure All - especially for sticky PB.
you're so natural in front of the camera. your cooking nooks are always so easy to follow and each step is explained and covered so nicely that even if i do have a question you eventually answer it in the video! thanks jen! i will sure have a "tasty experience" after i try the recipe! looking forward to more recipes! :D
Jen, just a little tip on measuring the pb....my mom has always put about a cup of water in a measuring container and added pb until it the water reached the desired cups of pb - the 1 cup of water. That sounds confusing but for ex: for 1 cup of pb, use 1 cup of water, add pb until the water reaches 2 cups. It's easy and makes the clean up easy too! :)
These look truly decadent... great word for them Jen. I didn't have time to do much baking this holiday season, but I will be using all these recipes next year as gifts for family and friends. Thank you for sharing. Love your tutorial videos, btw. Very straightforward and easy to follow what you're doing. You are truly talented!
@CherWarner hey Cher, im in Australia too. Sometimes you can find these at convenience stores that sell U.S treats, or chains like Big W. Otherwise, maybe try something with a soft caramel centre? Have fun and experiment :)
I love making these cookies, they are awesome! Last time I did them, I put each rolled cookie in a mini muffin tin, then when I added the peanut butter cup, it made a nice cup shaped cookie.. Sooo yummy! Thanks for sharing!
Likewise baking today... chocolate reindeer gingerbread, usual gingerbread and mini chocolate marshmallow puddings for the kids, nieces and nephews on Christmas Eve/Day :) Happy holidays Jen!
Pampered chef makes a really handy measuring thing for sticky substances like peanut butter, molasses, etc. I use it every year for my gingerbread men and peanut butter cookies
Jen-the Measure-All Cup from The pampered Chef is a MUST have tool for measuring things like peanut butter, mayo, sour cream, honey, etc. be weighing necessary. You'll love it!
These look fantastic! I've made something similar with a Hershey's Kiss on top but I think the peanut butter cups would be far more delicious. Thanks for sharing! Aloha!
i love how you use Kerrygold butter, I'm from County Kerry, Ireland lol :) the cookies look amazing!! well done Jen, you're a huge inspiration to me! :)
Omg your cookie recipes makes me so excited to bake again this coming holiday season!! I WILL DEFINITELY TRY YOUR RECIPES :) Big fan of yours, Jen! Love the videos!!!
I am making these for the holidays and was wondering if you used the regular mini Reese's peanut butter cups? I don't know if they're the same size that Jen used (Trader Joe's) and I don't have a Trader Joe's around here to compare.
Your love of baking shines through in this video! I made dog biscuits tonight. My daughter doesn't like sweets very much. Peaches on the other hand LOVES peanut butter and her "cookies" I made some with oatmeal that I ground first and the other batch was with whole wheat flour. I am packaging for my friends with furbabies for Christmas. (one has a wheat allergy) Maybe Winnie would enjoy your baking also? Maybe a future video idea? --hint hint --Lol Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones
Really love your videos. Why do you prefer that particular butter, and where can it be purchased. Also, where did you purchase your cooling racks. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year... Wished I had seen this sooner, but I will be trying this whenever I can!!!
Great video!!! I make this exact recipe as well every year!! They are so easy and delicious!

These looked amazing... Just seen you got a bit of a shell in your eggs tho. At 8:30 -8:35 you could see it at the bottom of your egg bowl.
What could you use instead of the peanut butter cups? I don't think they are available here in Australia, I haven't seen any at least.
"pack or not to pack" why not say THANK YOU for taking the time to post the video before the critique starts...or better yet...SAY NOTHING
Jen-the Measure-All Cup from The pampered Chef is a MUST have tool for measuring things like peanut butter, mayo, sour cream, honey, etc. be weighing necessary. You'll love it!

TheMyameeGirl Oh never mind. I see that she said they were 1 inch in diameter, so they're just the regular minis.

yes even Martha would cringe at the way she measures her flour. Tsk tsk. Not a good example for beginner bakers.
My cousin's a pastry chef, you don't pack flour, just no. I don't care how much minion hate I get on this. -_-
There was a piece of egg shell in the eggs I hope it didn't get in the batter.
She's a messy baker for being someone who's so neat all the time l
