Exactly, I'm all for the Viking eras and stuff but when they do games with multiple characters, it gets annoying because it doesn't feel Canon anymore. It just feels like a game with no coherent plot. Just a sneaking game with some extra stuff on the side. It doesn't feel like assassins creed anymore. What happened to the cool outfits with the endless customisation and characters we actually cared about? Origins was the last good AC game with a decent character. Hell, even Aguilar from the Movie is more memorable than Odyssey. Because there isn't a split character choice. I hope they change this for the next one after Valhalla
Yes the trailer was beautiful but it was a live action trailer, all it conveyed was multiple assassins and an outline of how powerful the groups who were in conflict are as well as the time period, in this trailer we get an idea of gameplay albeit I still have no idea who I'm meant to be fighting. We also have the outline of a Viking invasion and more of a showcase of dynamic imagery to capture an atmosphere. Fast rapid, Brotherhood showed us a showdown in Italy, this has shown me many beautiful details because it hasn't anchored itself to one incident/place so I think this trailer is just as good despite Brotherhood being my favourite AC.
I hope the blade is optional and not only for special attacks like Odyssey. I miss black flag where you could board a ship and try kill them all with your hidden blades.
Ya know now that I think about it every assassin showed a bit of info about there childhood but nothing about e eivor but hopefully that stuff will be in the game
I don't get why everyone is hating on Ubisoft, saying they hate women. I mean, if they hated women, we wouldn't have played as a woman character in some AC games, for example shao jun, Aveline Dr grandpre, Evie Frye, Aya (some missions) and finally the cannon protagonist of odyssey - Kassandra. Not to mention we have this new game coming soon where we get to pick our gender. I can understand why it would be misconstrued what Ubisoft have said, but in fairness to them, even though Kassandra was the cannon protagonist of odyssey, more people chose to play as alexios. In my opinion, when we get another assassin's creed game, the game developers should abandon this idea of letting you pick your gender, they should either give us just a female protagonist or just a male protagonist, or if they really wanted to have a female and male character, then just go back to the way they did it in syndicate, for me, that dynamic worked and it made sense, unlike odyssey, where I felt disconnected from the character, I hope that doesn't happen again in this game.
Maybe because they employ, and protect abusers and rapists. I think that's more evidence to that theory than video game representation. Though they also put vaginas on character models in Watch Dogs 2. Clearly, they have little respect for women.

There are few new things, but i am affraid again that after a while we will be doing the same things over and over again like Clear out the bandits, clear out the fort or castle. Chase them ? On the map and all that. Plus we got the Raven again as the Eagle, not sure, i would play it because i like Vikings. But it will be the same as Odyssey by the looks.

I used to say that AC was my favorite game series. Now I just feel sad when I see or hear something about. I mean DAMN, the video is called "character trailer", But you don't see Eivor making ONE EXPRESSION!!!!! Its just him, walking trhough wonderful scenarios, making a hard guy face for everything. Damn his eyes don't even blink! The major things I always loved about this series was the parkour, a nice story and a memorable character. Now the major thing we can climb is a fort; you know it's a viking story, but anything else to spice it (and you know it won't happen, I mean we came from Odyssey); and now we receive a character without expression. Horned Viking helmets were made up by the Victorians pretty sure. They did wear some helmets but not the classic horned ones everyone thinks they wore

I’m buying this game when it come ouy
I used to say that AC was my favorite game series. Now I just feel sad when I see or hear something about. I mean DAMN, the video is called "character trailer", But you don't see Eivor making ONE EXPRESSION!!!!! Its just him, walking trhough wonderful scenarios, making a hard guy face for everything. Damn his eyes don't even blink! The major things I always loved about this series was the parkour, a nice story and a memorable character. Now the major thing we can climb is a fort; you know it's a viking story, but anything else to spice it (and you know it won't happen, I mean we came from Odyssey); and now we receive a character without expression. Damn, I fear just to imagine what they did with present narrative this time.

Agreed. The series ended with Ezio for me, before the story completely lost its way and the gameplay became all hack n slash and health bars. I think Ubisoft forgot they were making Assassin’s Creed and not Dynasty Warriors. I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed.
