Corinne realized SHE was the moron, not Sugar. Many say Sugar wasn't as "innocent" as she appeared on TV, due to editing or whatever, but regardless of how shady she is thought to be, Corinne as a person is absolutely disgusting. Definitely fits the "Villain" criteria.

It is probable that she was an escort or something like that. We don’t know. There were clues during her season. And the show used “pin up model” as a euphemism. It seemed pretty likely that she was unemployed during that season. But still, she has a normal life and is happy now. She showed more ethics than most contestants. Her game play made me happy. I like seasons where the good guy wins. The older gentleman from that season was an awesome guy. I was glad he won. And I know that sugar had helped him to get there.
She got bullied by corrine right after her dad died too

In a sense, people don't give Sugar enough credit. Sure she totally bombed the FTC, but she was one of the first unpredictable contestants on Survivor that got to the end. I'm not saying it's the best way to play, but on her season it got her far.

@@lavoshakern "Outplaying" implies that her decisions had a strategic, premeditated basis for being done. Which is completely false. Her alliance couldn't take her to the end fast enough, as she'd never win, because the jury rightfully didn't respect her for the neurotic way she played the game. The sad thing is, Gabon was such a trainwreck strategically, that she actually had a chance to get some votes, but couldn't even articulate herself. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you don't seriously watch much Survivor, because you could empathize with some of the sentiments from the jury a lot more if you did.
@@jackdew588 My definition of "outplaying" doesn't match yours. I don't believe there always has to be a premeditated, strategic basis for your actions in the game of Survivor and Big Brother. That downplays the aspect of adapting. Sometimes you're not in a position to do the things you'd like to do so you have to play the hand you're dealt. Funnily enough, if I remember correctly (it's been a while since I've watched this season), Sugar was actually in a position of power for much of the game and made a lot of the decisions for who got ousted. And she WAS very emotional in her decisions. Which means the others should have realized this and at least PRETENDED to be nice to her so they wouldn't become a victim to her "lashing out" ousting. They didn't. So they didn't play smart. Then they were bitter about it while on the jury - bitter that someone they didn't place much value in outplayed them in the end.
Imo, Sugar had no chance of winning from the minute Corinne, Randy, and others assigned her as the ditzy pinup girl. Which is why I think she played the best game she could with this group of people. She kamikaze'd...playing like she had nothing to lose right up until the end because she really didn't. All she cared about was getting everyone out of the game that she didn't like and putting those that she DID like at the end.
Corinne was just bitter that Sugar literally bested her in every angle of the game.
Corinee thinks she's controlling Sugar and she's smarter than Sugar but it turns out Sugar was playing Corrine and her gang after that she got so pissed that she call out Sugar's father.
I've worked with people like Corinne before and they can be an absolute nightmare to deal with. Part of growing up is learning to work with people different than you, sometimes ones you don't like or particularly respect. It's not easy but a smart person realizes that going out of your way to antagonize and demonize someone you dislike can often stem from your own self serving ego rather than there being any real serious issue with that person worth going out of your way to make a big deal about and can in fact cause larger and more direct problems than what is being complained about.
I can't believe you actually managed to contradict yourself so drastically. First you say that the person really is someone you hate, then you say that being mean to the person you hate will cause issues because they're not the person you hate.

Corinne's speaking, albeit a little too crudely at times, on behalf of a lot of Gabon's cast.

Random person #20 I think if all we had to go off of was what we saw on TV, I’d agree with you. Problem is, that’s like 1% of the puzzle. So many castaways from Gabon have attested to how constant her crying was, and how little she was liked. Further, editing glosses over things that make for bad TV, which is why you don’t see thirty-odd instances of her crying on the screen.

Nowadays people on Survivor are kind of boring because they are afraid of the backlash. We've had a lot of seasons of people not telling how they feel, even when they clearly dislike someone. I blame the newest jury format for that

No. She votes Randy out, it's over. That was the only possible move she could have made, and she did it well. Had it been anyone else as the swing vote, it would've gone better, but it was the one person she was constantly mean to, Sugar was not a better player. Sugar was a carried goat.
I Am Too Lazy To Come Up With A Name swing votes are extremely important, sugar dissolved the most powerful alliance (Corinne, Charlie, Randy), empowered fang and then destroyed them. If sugar went about the game expressing herself differently and didn’t bomb her FTC she could’ve won the million. Also if you think Corinne is a better player than Sugar, than clearly you’re delusional because sugar ended her game with half a brain cell.
Corrinne can't handle confrontation. She's an awful person don't get me wrong. But she can only sting when the other person is mute or defenseless, hence her biting confessionals and jury speeches.

One part of survivor that honestly irks me is the jury speeches at the end. They are usually such bitter assholes. I liked how in gabon bob, sugar and susie didn't take shit from the jury or try to suck up to them.

I love the game that Sugar played on Gabon, I think socially she was one of the most adept and did a great job for the majority of the season of utilizing her leverage as a power player by being someone both alliances tried to gain allegiance in. I don't know about Randy since he always looks angry @ the world and I don't know if Corinne's a smoker but she describes herself on Twitter as an "advanced drinker". Excess drinking could wreak havoc with your looks as does excessive sun exposure plus she doesn't look that old anyway (she's now 42).

It's so sad how so many great people this season didn't get a second chance. Ken? Crystal? Matty? Ace? Charlie? And even Corinne and Sugar's second chances were a little disappointing. I loved both of these girls, maybe not as people but as entertainment for sure.
Oh, and I forgot you mentioned Charlie. Was he the gay guy who wanted the dumb lawyer who couldn't find the idol?

There have to be some likable characters for it to be good television. You named Matty. Plus it's not fiction. These are real people and real douchebags. Maybe you like Jersey Shore. Not everyone does.

Gabon is one of my fav seasons of the survivor. Amazing cast. amazing location. Unique camp. They slept in the hut. I immediately fall in love with Corrine's character. She should be replacing Danielle on HvV. She will be a great cast.

Ya know, watching this back I can see why Corrinne lost her shit with Sugar. Imagine having to listen to someone that you don't respect, who just gained power, talking down to you because she could, and doing so in the self-righteous way that Sugar spoke to Corrinne. And you just have to sit there, listen and bite your tongue. Corrinne went too far, but I can see why she reacted the way she did.
Lots of people play things up for the cameras so they can get featured at FTC she played things up constantly and you can see it, fuck Corinne honestly

Bob, Sugar and Ken were the only ones I liked from beginning to end. Yes Ken got a little villainous near the end I still relate to him a lot and he came to play the game.

It almost happened. Corinne was asked back for Heroes vs Villians but had to decline because her job wouldn’t allow her to leave. Danielle DiLorenzo was her replacement. But I know Corinne and Randy would’ve been thrilled to see Sugar getting voted out before them
