Thanks for a great talk from Denmark. Being 56 I’m also over the top looking back at what could be. Your video made me think of what I might be missing. I guess I would lile to live in a social structure, where competence and contribution was rewarded with corresponding status, indfluence and a bite of the cake. Working as engineer for US corporations for 20y I must say, competence and contribution is *not* rewarded. Rewards are allocated according to power. The lion takes the lion’s share. In the US corporations, the big brass always comes from US. Regardless of whatever is said about “diversity” it really helps to be a US citizen in a US corporation. And even then, I suppose one has to come from a certain strata of US society. The haves and the have nots.
56 here, single with an Italian background, Introverted, Got all my finances together, 5'10, 170lbs, never married, no kids. Long -Term- Relationship is dead globally all due to smartphones. No one meets women anymore face to face like before smartphones came out. Cold and warm approach is dead too. Today women don't even look or even smile anymore, all on their cell phones 24/7 on dating apps for hookups. No wonder why men have totally given up!
In the past people used to be rewarded for loyalty, but as the pensions and life long jobs have gone away so has the want to contribute to society.
Work don't pay...
