What is really standing out to me is what he did with the realization that because of systemic racism he had no hope for growth at the restaurant he was at. He went on to join shows like Dinner Lab and Top Chef and then opening his first restaurant that didnt last long because of funding. This didnt get him down and a month later he as back in a new restaurant cooking in silence and not as a celebrity chef
