Resident Evil 4 is a 2023 survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. A remake of the 2005 game Resident Evil 4, it was released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on March 24, 2023. Players control the US agent Leon S. Kennedy, who must save Ashley Graham, the daughter of the US president, from the mysterious Los Iluminados cult.
Resident Evil 4 (2023) is a remake of the 2005 game Resident Evil 4. It features "over-the-shoulder" third-person shooter gameplay similar to the original, while drawing from the remakes of Resident Evil 2 (2019) and Resident Evil 3 (2020).[6] Resident Evil 4 features redesigned visuals, designed to create a tenser atmosphere, along with new character designs and backgrounds. It offers six controls schemes, including one styled after the original game. Occasionally the player must solve simple puzzles.[9] In some sequences, Leon must protect the president's daughter, Ashley. She uses a simpler health system than in the original, and can be instructed to stay close or far.
As in the original game, the player organizes their inventory with an "attache case". New to the remake, a crafting system enables the player to create items and ammunition using resources collected throughout the game. The Merchant returns, allowing the player to buy, upgrade, and trade items. He will provide new side quests that may be completed during the main story. Similarly to the original, the focus of combat is shooting enemies and reloading. However, Leon can now move and use weapons at the same time, allowing him to evade attacks while firing. Leon can also use melee attacks to injure enemies and push them away. A new parrying mechanic allows him to block, counter attacks, and kill a downed enemy with his knife.
Chinese Ada is voiced by Huang Ying(黄莺), she is famous for her charismatic voice for some Chinese-dubbed queen-like characters like Sarah Kerrigan (StarCraft 2), Sylvanas Windrunner (World of WarCraft), female mage/Li Ming (Diablo 3) and Lilith (Diablo 4). She already did well in Resident Evil 2, and she’s still stunning here❤
I speak Chinese, it sounds weird to me... Probably because I always played RE with English or Japanese dubbings...
@@a9udn9u Actually you got the point, because the pronunciation in Mandarin dubbing is way too “standard”, you don’t find much regional accents or dialects. Normal people don’t speak like this.

As a Spaniard I can tell you this voice acting is on the mediocre side. Voice actors in Spain used to be fantastic, but in the past 10 years or so the new ones replacing the classic ones are terribly lacking in quality.
Tekken does this in their story modes, having everyone speak their native language and I kind of dig it. Wish more games did it
That's why in Street Fighter I put on the Japanese voice for the Japanese characters while keeping the English voice for non Japanese.
It would be kinda strange which is why it weirds me out a lot when it comes to Tekken. Personally I prefer to just keep the language selection but that’s just me, unless if the characters are meant to understand each other or something similar to how this one show (The great pretender) does it then yea I’m cool with it but that’s just me.

Leon understand some Spanish so it makes sense, kinda wish ramon spoke Spanish, I mean how in the hell does this remote village know English? Luis would make sense as he worked for umbrella in France for a while and he’s a smart lad. Ramon practically only really ever has a conversation with Leon. But I understand as he speaks a lot and it would be difficult for audiences to understand him well if he spoke only Spanish.

In case anyone is wondering, no, the voice actors for Luis and Salazar from the Spanish dub aren't the same actors who play the characters in the English dub. Luis voice actor in the English dub is called André Peña, while the voice actor in the Spanish dub is called Juan Logar Jr. As for Salazar, they are called Marcio Moreno and Mario García, respectively.
From what I get in IMDB, Peña and Moreno are based in the US, while Logar and García are based in Spain (they both are well known voices among Spaniards, since they both have their fair share of iconic dubs). Which makes me believe the reason why Peña and Moreno didn't re-record their lines in Spanish was due to schedule conflicts (Well, at least Peña, since he's the one I'm 99% sure he could have done so, since his accent feels 100% native).
Given Ada’s age and assumed last name, she would have likely grown up speaking Cantonese, that would have been an interesting version to hear

As someone with a hyperfixation on languages and linguistics, I absolutely love how more games are allowing you to use different language options without the need to buy a different regions version or change your whole systems language!
I do wish there was an option to individually change each characters language, but I understand why they wouldn't do that.

I am not sure if she is Chinese American or just moved to American but she does not seem to have a Chinese accent. Which makes me think she could be Chinese American but you know, Chinese-Americans still stay connected with their roots so many usually know their own languages.
