Gennaro was angry with his father ‘cause, according to him, he negated his help to his own son and caused his wife’s death.
Then, Gennaro is like his father, he must be the only boss; after Mariarita’s death, Genny decided to kill his father ‘cause Pietro wanted Genny in Naples, so Genny and his new family were seriously in danger.
According to Salvatore Esposito, Genny’s actor, the real Gennaro’s enemy was Pietro, not Ciro.
I thought the scene where the watch was stolen interrupted the party.

did she rat on him though? yes she lied when he asked the question, and she ratted on the levante's which was bad enough, but did she rat on genny? i don't think she did..

The prosecutor showed a pic of him during the interrogation, they didn't show her cooperating but it was implied
@@1god2fear21 Yes it was implied but we don't know for sure.. as for Genny killing her, well, why take the risk? Just because she's living in another country doesn't mean that she won't be hauled back to testify for instance, she's just another loose end. Genny killed Pat because she lied about being asked about Genny, if she told the truth who knows. Then again, maybe there was no pilot and Genny was always going to kill her , no matter what..
That's what I mean, Gennaro put her to the test, & she failed. More than likely he has people on the inside to verify that she indeed snitched. The previous scene Genny was looking at his son, & teared up because he knew that he would have to deal with her & her family (husband/unborn baby). There are some decisions you don't come back from.

She possibly snitched on him. She spoke with the prosecutor that wanted to jail Genny and when Genny asked if the lawyer asked about him she lied and said no but Genny knew the lawyer really did ask about him when Patricia was being interrogated. Plus her husband turned I believe as well. Couldn't trust her anymore.
