- Today we take a look at the 2018 Jeep Compass Trailhawk edition!
Todays video goes in depth with the new Jeep Compass Trailhawk! This compact SUV has trail rated features like a locking rear differential, and 5 modes for offroad use! Combined with a comfortable ride and plenty of storage space, this is a great smaller size suv! The interior has full leather, a user friendly center display screen and overall a comfortable ride to be in. Exterior features include the distinctive tow hooks, and redesigned bumpers for great clearance offroad. Its practical and has a lot of versatility!

I bought a 2018 Compass Sport in February. Drove it off the lot with 7 miles on it…about to be 9,500. Super comfortable. A TON of leg room in the front and back seats. Enough trunk space for a pretty decent Costco run. Still has off-road capability being a Sport model. Obviously everyone who has any Jeep would love a Wrangler…but fuel efficiency and price does play a factor. Good car overall.

The mat black colour in the hood is not to match the colour of the roof. It is to prevent refection of sunlight while offroading.
Just bought mine two days ago in black. Can’t wait to take it to some great off road trails in southern Indiana. Also plan to take it to Indiana dunes up by Lake Michigan. Should be a grand ole time

he is also wrong about facts on this car for one, it does not come standard with HID headlights thats an additional package.
5:28 - You cannot lock the rear diff. That is a lock of the center diff (so the front and rear wheels get 50% each). This has no real locker like front and rear diffs have. You still only have 2wd (one in the front, and one in the rear) in slippery situations. With a single real locker, you would have 3 wheel drive, and with a front and rear locker, you would have true always going 4wd.
Good review overall . It seems the guy liked the Compass a lot ....not much negative to say . I drove one very briefly last Fall and I was impressed with how solid it felt . Smooth ride and really nice design . I may get one in about 6 months if another drive and look impresses me again .

I love the Jeep compass looks like a mini grand Cherokee and yet gives you some rugged Jeep feel and in my opinion looks better then the Cherokee limited witch the compass is similar size and better in fuel ⛽️ then the Cherokee it self.!!!

I love my compass but the only thing that i hate on it is the gas mileage its horrible but its run like a dreaml
I had a friend with a compass and at 300 miles it died. It had about $18k in repairs and Jeep wouldn't total it out. But that's great to hear yours is running great!!

i see alot of salesmen that dont know how to properly remote start these cars. all you do is double press the remote start button. no need to double press the locking button.that is why there is a x2 on the key fob

It is a "trail rated jeep. a Trailhawk. Try and find an all terrain tire that will fit it. There is one choice and falken tires suck.

I tried this on mine and it doesn’t start. Did you have to program anything?
For the remote start? If you have the button on the key fab, you should be able to double tap lock and then do the start button and it should work! If not, you may have to have the dealer take a look at it.
I was just looking at a jeep compass Trailhawk I think it’s a very nice (small) SUV I just don’t like how cheap the plastics look on the inside I wish they would have made it more rugged as they did with the outside

In my opinion it looks more like a trim appearance package to try to appear to make it look rugged lol and I just couldn’t get over the ruby red color they used inside

In Korea I can’t find my original post but if I said it was rugged I meant the Trailhawk trim give you the brightly colored tow hooks two in the front and one in the back that’s they’re way to give it a rugged look and the black paint on the hood. I didn’t literally mean that it was rugged if I were to buy a jeep it would only be the wrangler unlimited I don’t like the gladiators

Jesus Christ it is a 4x4 FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. Not all wheel drive. Huge difference. 2 wheel drive full time 4 wheel kicks in when it senses a tire slipping. All wheel drive is all wheel powered at all times with the use of 3 differentials. Jeeps have 2 making it 4wd

If you build one on jeeps website, it does not come up to this much. I just built a fully loaded Limited for a tad under 34k
In Costa Rica this bad boy costs around 45k base price.

Nobody pays MSRP for the Compass or Renegade. It caters towards the market that think they are getting an awesome deal at $4K off MSRP, instead of just making the MSRP $4K cheaper. That said 180hp for 3,600lbs is inadequate. It really needs about a 275hp V6 or turbo four.

Well 5 weeks old with 1688 miles I traded off my 2018 compass trailhawk. Who would have thought that you cant get an off road tire for a "trail rated" jeep. I ate about $3000 on that piece of crap. Live and learn I guess. If you want a great jeep for running the paved bike trails the compass trailhawk is for you.
SykoDady I see you all over the place with these comments about the damn tires lol. All you have to do is a simple RUclips search to find compass trailhawks doing off roading that any other compact SUV would never dream of doing. Serious off roading in snow, mud, sand, rocks, with pretty big inclines and declines. Hell I’ve owned mine for two days and I’ve already taken it on my girlfriends brothers quad trails in the woods on their farm and it took it like a champ. Handled mud and rock crawling like a champ. You’re just but hurt about tires when the ones they chose specifically say on the Falken website they are designed for more off road and off camber situations. Everyone else seems to do great with them except you. Maybe you just are a shitty driver?

The bad thing about the "trail rated" compass is that you can NOT find any all terrain tires for it. trail rated but cant get a trail tire. just an all season car tire. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!
