Honestly Shadow Gens plays alot better than Sonic Frontiers Cyberspace. It just feels alot better to control and the camera isn't so far out. Having air deceleration makes the level much more engaging, one of my main Critiques with Frontiers is how much you can fly over Cyberspace.
Well yeah. Sonic team was actually given a budget and a sizeable team for this game, instead of being criminally understaffed, and having a budget of 3 dollars and come scotch tape.
What I love about this is how both Frontiers Sonic and Gens Shadow have their own cheese strats that can be used to get the same job done. Like for the massive 1-7 skip, Sonic has the Homing Attack Boost Cancel that lets him go ham, and Shadow can make it with Chaos Spear gliding. I really do hope Sonic Team keeps up these "intentionally unintentional movement options that we'll pretend is a feature" haha.
Yeah, I mean I get it, rocket shoes sure, but I don’t get why Sega prefers to make shadow fly all the time instead of just sticking to skating, but they always choose to represent shadow like that, I prefer the skating 100 times more
@@goodguyscratch2293because when he boosts he puts the rockets to full power as it will impulse him instead of just sliding with it, think of it like when he glides in Sth05 but instead of making him glide it makes him go faster with the impulse
@ what’s funny is in the sonic vs shadow cutscene they keep his skating animations while he’s boosting, they know themselves that the skating looks cooler
@@jersont.3339 also you obviously didn’t read my comment I already mentioned what you said, I am talking about how the style looks while playing, why you explaining things I already know let me have my opinion
I loved playing this. I already enjoyed cyberspace but shadows movement made me enjoy it way more. I hope they bring the test of the stages over and add the frontiers spindash.
This does seem like it would be easier to port into Shadow Gens from Frontiers since, if I'm thinking correctly, Frontiers and Shadow Gens work off of the same engine, and maybe graphics?
Yeah, given what modders have been saying the two are pretty much the same thing under the hood so I imagine we’ll get all of cyberspace brought over pretty soon
Imagining not having the switch and being able to easily have shadow do the skate animation while boosting, I miss my old sonic generations pc I would alwayssss use the shadow generations mod

You can turn on Frontiers Air Deceleration in settings though AND its on by default?
@@Micah33088Air deceleration only works when boosting in frontiers

Shadow generations plays like Sonic Forces but with fixed non boosting acceleration and turning. Wish they kept forces air boost though it was too OP
Ha, imagine the radical highway illusion sequence on Eternal Highway.
"Why didn't you change anything this time, Black Doom?"
"But... I did."
“Shadow, I made the sky a bit more red. Sorry, I’m kind of working with nothing here”
"I just think Radical Highway is so cool"

I really hope they apply what they pulled off in Shadow Generations to the next game.
Same and with entirely new locations
Shadow skating while boosting looks amazing, I don't know why that wasn't done in the first place.

it fits so well forgot this was cyberspace for a second
I wish I could mod on console so bad, these look amazing.
I wish sega would reveal a dlc roadmap for this game, similar to frontiers.
I Love Eternal Highway Because I Love Listening To The OST's
It's not the same without the skateboard :(
It's insane that we already have stage mods though.
Not even a month out yet, perhaps they'll port the skateboard yet! Shadow with his SA2 2 -player board would be cool.
The hoverboard?
@Lemuel928 Hoverboard is also cool, but skateboard seems right here.
@@sonicovertime
The 4-9 port would have been absolute peak if Shadow used his Sonic-board from _Sonic Prime!_

Cool 😮
It looks like a real level in the game, that's so cool.
*Cool!*

@gordonfreeman5735hell, soon we might be able to bring over some of the missing moves like the light-speed dash
i love the custom hub they have
I’m have good mod idea, they should add flash sonic and batman shadow in sonic x shadow generations to celebrate the sonic and dc collaboration!
Sonic: Welcome to Cyber Space Shadow!
Shadow: The Blue Blur! Of all places.
Sonic: Say wanna race? The first hedgehog gets the Chaos Emerald
why is shadow his english VA but sonic's junichi
@kaosagamerreal Yeah the only sonic mod out there is Japanese atm lol
I actually wanted that 2d highway level that appears at the beggining of the game to be the act 2, but hey.
Imagining not having the switch and being able to easily have shadow do the skate animation while boosting, I miss my old sonic generations pc I would alwayssss use the shadow generations mod
WHY THE HELL IS SHADOW SOMERSAULTING *2020 Olympics trauma comes back*
Man even with the new physics 4-2 still looks slow af to play.
I actually think Shadow is slower than Sonic in Cyberspace was
I wish the ones from Final Horizon were included.
Shadow frontiers 😎
it's sad the overscan filter from cyberspace is seemingly missing
How do you get to cyberspace
Sure wish Sega would’ve used the same boost animation.. I can’t stand the one we have now. Just doesn’t feel right.
Must admit, Shadow Gens feels like a Sonic Frontiers 1.5 with a shadow DLC. But it sure as heck plays better from I've been hearing.
All this Is proving me why I don't like the cyber levels In the first place :
Honestly they shouldn’t have changed the gameplay for the cyberspace sections
this is DLC quality
