I follwed the video but it said that the patch wasn't intended for the ROM
u must have tried patching the wrong game then. SMW hacks u need original SMW rom, Mario Bros hack u need Mario Bros original file, etc.

I've been using Lunar ISP for years and only lately my it's been saying, "This patch is not intended for this ROM" even though I've been using the same Super Mario World original ROM for years, frustrating and don't know what to do.
@@wackzach1220 I had to delete Lunar ISP and reinstall it. Fixed the problem, cheers.

I'm trying to play JUMP 1/2 so I'm gonna try to do this...(update) I extracted the files and got a BPS file and when I try to patch it, flips tells me it's not made for this ROM idk what to do at this point I tried everything and it doesn't let me patch the game

Is it totally necessary to assign it to an emulator as I'm going to be playing them on retroarch on my vita and will probably have to try them out with different cores so see which runs best?

So I patched the rom hack but it i smc file and i am not sure what to do next
i use project 64 and it only runs z64 files how do i change games into a z64 file?
Should be the same process for 64 games too.
when I extracted my file the bps file turn into Floating IPS File I don't know how to fix it

it said it patched it but no luck on pj64 tried both .n64 and .z64 no luck
It keeps saying not intended for this rom and I use the actual mario 64 rom and it worked but when I try it again for a different rom hack it always says not intended, I deleted the original that work and now that one says it's not intended for the rom. I need help!
This was meant for SNES games..... IDK what program to use for the N64, but if you go to Rom Hacking . Net then they have a few tutorials for different consoles

you need the original game and the rom hack...... not 2 rom hacks.

probably the wrong region. Gotta make sure you have the correct game from the correct region

So what if your trying to put the hacked rom on an sd card to play off your super nt how different would the process be ? Im a noob and im a little confused lol
Putting the rom hack on a SD card is just like playing it on a PC emulator

The game is Super Mario World USA.sfc Also I have the smc version (sorry for bad english i am from Egypt)
it isnt the right region rom most likely that is causing the issue

Hello! Thanks so much for your help. Does it function even if the ROM archive is in IPS? Thanks in advance. I am trying to patch and play Mega Man X3 Proyect Zero, and I can only download it in IPS. Anyways, great tutorial!
You can patch anything as long as the rom is the correct rom for the patch. Like a NA patch only works with a NA rom, EU Patch only works with EU rom, JA patch only works with JA Rom (america, europe & japanese)
