Love tweak week! Would love to see this happen again
Thanks for letting me know! I'm happy to revisit it. If only I could troll-proof the channel... 😂
@@PassionforSoundGood luck lol! 😂 my favorite is the “uNsUbScRibE” people. But truly appreciate you tackling these subjects & providing your take on tweaks!
You are a brave man Lachlan 🙌
Brave or stupid 😉😁
Yesterday I swapped out an Audioquest Carbon USB for a Curious Cable USB with great Results : )
That's great news. The Curious USBs are excellent. Enjoy!
If I see it correctly, then Tellurium uses WBT connectors. These have been a standard for the high-end/hi-fi market for decades. I have always had a kind of love-hate relationship with these plugs. Especially if the distance between the RCA sockets is rather narrow, attaching and even more removing the cable quickly becomes a punishing task. In other words - The connection is very solid… for better or for worse.
I'm with you. These connectors can be SO frustrating when connecting and disconnecting, but that's them doing their jobs. 😁
It takes balls to do a whole series of tweak videos, incurring the wrath and abuse of flat earth-ers and deaf engineers. Good job.
Thank you. Yes, the response has been a bit hard to stomach!
You're the type of person who thinks healing crystals are real.
Enjoying ALL of this and THANKS for the music! 👍🏼
Glad you're enjoying it! Thanks for letting me know. 🙂
Good on you Lachlan. We audiophiles need more comparisons like this. Tell it how you hear it and don’t try to please the minority non believers who just barks like that annoying neighbour dog.
Thanks for the support! I'm glad you liked the video. 🙂🙂
You're working hard & it shows. Thanks for the information in this series. Great accomplishment.
Acid Jazz, Funk & Brass 🔈🔉🔊
My pleasure. I'm glad you liked it!
Currently auditioning the Audience Ohno speaker cables and interconnects but now really want to check out the black line of RCA and speaker cables.
Thanks for the video Lachlan, and boy is it getting hot in here! Damn shame too, when you have a revealing system, subtle changes can have big results. Thanks for letting us know about these brand names and their offerings. Really appreciated. ;-)
♥️
You describe these videos as 'lower production' but they really distil what it is we're here for, intelligent audio commentary. Everything else is just icing on the cake. Enjoying getting a video every day this week!
So glad you've liked them! Thanks for letting me know. 🙂🙂
I love tweak week. Thanks for making these videos. I enjoy trying different finished cables and making my own from high end unassembled parts.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for letting me know. 🙂
Is there a RCA you could recommend that's cheap but a step up from random stock RCA? Not looking to spend a ton but would like something above generic RCA
In the USA, Bluejean cables are good place to start.
Yes, Blue Jeans have a good reputation. I've also covered all of the Supra cables from cheapest to TOTL here: ruclips.net/video/LClS2hiHy94/видео.htmlsi=OnuUQsOomBSp8WLS
@@PassionforSound Thanks watched it before. Good Video!
@@marzcapone9939 Thanks I'll take a look
Perhaps you should check out ETI Research HQed in Milton, Queensland. As far as I'm aware they do not do cables, but they produce somne of the best high end connectors around, at any price.
I think ETI make the connectors on the Curious interconnects
Passion for Sound Tweak You very much!
Haha. Tweak you for the great comment 😁
Can you compare a two metre pair of Nike shoes laces up against a pair of Mizuno shoe laces next please 🤔
Try Stealth Indras (or even Stealth Sakras).
Thanks. So many options out there!
I recently replaced some 20 year old qed qunex silver anniversary rca's for qed signature audio 40. Both are silver plated copper with some degree of spiralling to the conductors, but the new cables have a better dielectric, have 2 different sizes of conductors in them, are cryo treated, have hollow-pin rhodium-plated copper plugs, and a carbon based RF blocking layer. I wasn't sure whether it'd make much difference, but using their power cables that have the same RF blocking layer, I wanted to see if having more of the chain like this would be complimentary. No change in tonality or frequency presentation, no immediate notice of new details, but a definite drop in noise floor. But the long I listen on any given day, the clearer they seem to become, and timing accuracy becomes quite apparant, as does timbral and tonal accuracy, all of which really help to make the experience feel more real... Is suspension of disbelief the correct phrase? Its more engaging because of it anyway. The concept of removing all the bad bits, rather than trying to "add" something better, seems to be working very well, so I am now thinking about changing my input and output sockets for something better conductive, and perhaps with its own passive rf rejection
Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Should have some kind of Emmy acting Award for this Performance,....wink wink !!
I moved from Tellurium Q black RCA between my pre and power amp to AFAudio Solid Silver with Bullet plugs (£180) and it improved clarity and space but the realism and soundstage were perhaps not quite as good. Due to a house move I needed a touch more snap and edge to the sound so it was a worthwhile change for me. The AFAudio cables are good sounding cables. I almost went with EWA IC-25 cables as they are made by the guy that designed the Tellurium products but they were £380, so I opted for the cheaper AFAudio after the expensive house move. Still curious about the EWA stuff as the designer claims that his ‘25’ range blows his old employers cables out of the water - with many people in various forums agreeing.
Thanks for sharing your experiences!
I lost all respect for you
Lol you've never even tried any of these, have you...
You & some others have lost respect, while he’s gained plenty of respect from others, including myself.
I feel one day, IF you let yourself, you’ll come to the same realisation that cables can in fact affect sound.
indeed no measurements/data to back up claims, yet when cables are measured they produce NO CHANGE IN SQ, ITS SCIENCE, something the audiofool wokeists dont get, who hear amazing things after spending 1000s on JUNK.
@djhmax09 I'd love to blind test you lol 😆 😂 🤣
Unsubbed
I'm out, peace dude. Nice relaxing voice, but what a bunch of bullshit!
I've unsubsribed and disliked your videos but they still come up. Fuses, then power cables, now RCAs. What's next? I would love to know how much Telerium paid for your services. They bought Terry Ellis years ago...it's their model.
What's next? Audiophile switches. Get ready!
Go away. If you are not interest, move along. I don't go onto tampon reviews and complain because I have a man parts.
so...she uses Telerium cables at her concerts because they pay her....hmmmm.....shes not singing is just the cables...niiice
@@jw112mail I’m trying, but the stupid algorithm keeps bringing this channel back.
