    Their products are top quality and the variety is fantastic! The hardest part is placing items in your order and they run out and are unable to ship. Many new people have started to come to our drop in Florida, their eyes are being opened to Azure and wonderful items. Blessings 😊 Ravioli recipe would be nice to see.

      Yes, there is a learning curve with the Azure Standard process, but I agree that it is well worth the adjustment for the quality. They often have things that can be hard to source, as well.

    We have been using Azure for about three years. Have been very pleased with the quality and prices. We used the organic soy/corn free chick starter for our broilers this year for the first time. The difference in the health of our birds, the color of the meat and skin was far better than when we used the organic feed from TS. The meat has a nice rosy color. My birds NEVER had normal bm's on the TS feed. They did on AS feed. In 8 weeks, my birds averaged 7-8 lbs dressed out. That's with feeding them 12 hrs on, 12 hrs off. The feed is quite spendy at $1.54lb. But until I learn how to make my own, it is worth it. No comparison.

    I haven't done Azure in many years. I had no problems with them at all except for the citrus. I was working outside the home then and it was great. I just find if I really look around and have time to source things I can get some things cheaper that way. However, if you live in an area with few choices, it's amazing!! I never had a problem with them except for that one thing. But, now, it just doesn't make sense for us. Great company though!! I wonder how long it will be before "you know who" starts trying to mess them up and shut them down. I remember years ago they had issues with those powers that shouldn't be.

    I really love Azure Standard and we are blessed to have a couple drop points close by. We also pick a few new items each time. I tried their Heavy Duty Laundry Detergent and we love it. Also when the Celtic sea salt was out of stock we tried the Baja Gold Mineral Fine Grind salt and like that as well. They had written about it in their monthly flyer so I went for it. I'll need to try the Pink Himalayan.
    Happy to see the semolina pasta is back in stock. The Rumiano cheese.....I do the same! I bought the big block and now I don't anymore. One cheese that I didn't care for was a raw sharp cheddar - it really wasn't sharp at all. Curious if it was the batch, but I resorted back to our local grocer for our sharp cheddar. (Well....I am from Wisconsin, so I may be a bit more picky!) I'll be giving their supplements a try - thanks for the info!

    My chickens don't care for the animal grains that still have the chaff on them.. so I soak or ferment those (spoiled brats) but I recently got the kamut scratch for them and they love that. I mostly buy different grains to add to the mix, so they always have a selection. I do sometimes have to buy something to add from the feed store, (birdseed is a good choice) but I feel good that I get most of their food from Azure Standard, and my own yard and garden scraps.. I was raising mealworms for their extra protein, but that became too much of an extra chore to remember, so I am looking into soldier flies instead. Thanks Heidi for sharing... I like to buy bulk grains and cheese from Azure, and sometimes bulk spices. I used to buy mostly from them until YOU inspired me to check out Costco.😊 it has been cheaper for me to get bulk organic rice, sugar, brown sugar, even coconut sugar, vanilla, and an organic all purpose flour at Costco if I factor in the 8.75% Azure adds to the order. We do have a drop about 30 min from us but the way they've done delivery in recent years, not knowing what day or time it will be delivered, until close to delivery, has also made it more difficult to continue ordering through as much. Thankfully I have had many grains stocked for awhile! But I have been gearing up my cart for another order soon.

    I too noticed the change quite a few months ago in Costco's pink Himalayan salt and wondered the same thing. I have bought the PH salt from both Azure and Costco, and I really haven't noticed a difference. I wonder if I reached out to Costco, if I could find out more about the change. It did concern me a little but I had several already stored back so I didn't need to buy more at the time. But salt is so beneficial in so many ways should there be a collapse or whatever that at that point, I'm not so sure I'm going to care. 😊

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  25 дней назад

      Yeah, we do not have any such store like that anywhere near us but as I believe I noted in the video that in most cases I find that the price of shipping when worked into the total cost and then divided by the pound I have found it to be comparable or even less that places that claim to have "free" shipping so I have been happy with that and even the few things that are a bit more, it is not by much and I like supporting a US company that has such great integrity

    The closest drop near me is over an hour away and they drop during the day on weekdays, while I am working. It sounds great, but I am unable to try it.

      Yes, same here, but as noted, their prices are good enough that when I add shipping to the over all cost and then divide by the pound I usually find I am still paying less than most products from other places that claim to have free shipping. It is worth it to me then to continue to support a business like that of high integrity

    Can you share what brand of hand operated grain mill you have & where you got it from. Would greatly appreciate it. Thanks 😉

      The one I have is now far more expensive as when I bought it which is why I stopped linking to it. I love it and highly recommend it as it is also made in the US, even in my own state, but I am guessing someone can find one just as good for less: amzn.to/3LjP3Xa

    Do you take everything out of the bags and store them in jars?

      Depends on what they are. Grains I store in buckets in the paper bags they come in unless it goes to long term storage, then they are sealed in mylar bags first, then put in buckets.
